That crash occurred if you were using too new of an interfaces. Specifically it was actually only ONE file out of this 'release' that needed to be replaced (I use WinMerge) I wanna say it was the file named "guild_diplomacyapply.xml". The one in this, is the same as official PWi v632
Yes, I just checked (before hitting submit on da post), even when I check the current version of official PWi's interfaces.pck against the v145 client I've created to work with the public v145 server releases there are only a few different files. "guild_diplomacyapply.xml" is one of them:
sadly you cannot just use a 'straight up' PWI v632 interfaces either because then even more stuff if 'broke' (I checked) including but not limited to the PK setting menu, the "quick action" (when you right click a players face for the 'quick menu'), among I'm sure other things. So the best thing to do is use a v648 or even v652 interfaces.pck and just replace the "guild_diplomacyapply.xml" with one from v632
Thanks for pointing that out, we didnt have this issue with our files since we are currently using v629 client files. Seems to be a special issue with those versions because i didn't watch any crash with v653 client either.Originally Posted by 343

No problem, here is a winmerge SS of the differences between v632 and v652 (the list of all the potential things using a pure v632 could 'break', I know for a fact the PK settings and 'quick action' don't work (with Chinese EXE))...:

Okay the info that this happens with chinese *.exe helps a lot. So anyone that uses a full PWI client is not affected. Thanks.
I do not have the other one ("PWi" server/client) to test, but I would imagine using PWi server/client EXE wouldn't be a problem
As long as you're not mixing of course, but then again I don't see why anyone would want to use say PWi v652 EXE with PWi v632 .PCK (or visa versa) <.<
I still play official too, and have never noticed any problems with any of these functions being 'broke' there...
i was never even thinking of mixing anything, especially mixing interfaces from different versions would be pretty stupid as some of them reference hard coded client addresses.
When i "built" my client this never occurred to me...but in retrospect i see i had created a problem.
At least now with this information anyone having this problem will know why and how to remedy...and where they strayed.
I have applied this to my client and happy to say all "problems" disappeared.
