I've tried various clients, multiple files, I keep getting the message when trying to log the old client.
How to fix this for all customers? Can anyone help?

136 or 144 ?
I think 136.
1.4.4, I've been doing some tests with other servers, I realized that the old client of the message only when the gshop is different, is it valid? I tried several files replace server / client for some reason keep getting this annoying message.
I do not know much about 144 personally. The only thing I recall reading somewhere here that potentially relates to your problem is, GS/GAMED being offline. Sorry, I can't really offer any more help than that, as 136 is my personal 'fortay'. I have also asked for separate sections here for the different versions (136 and 144) so that in the future we wont have to always ask "are you talking about 136 or 144?"
if its 1.4.4 they arnt going to help you cause they are some greedy mofos.
Make sure all your .data files are exactly the same. Copy them from server side into your client. Do not export with any tool or anything.
Also it could be a gshop error if the problem still persists.
gshop and gshopsev must be same dated. try to find some of programs which can edit first bits of your data files.
got version to low too... >.<
Just to add to this for general knowledge purposes ive received this error as well when ive had a working version and been swapping around elements.data

SOLUTION:
In my case was a matter of lib corrupted.
Make sure the libs are installed corretamentes and their respective folders.
It did not continue giving wrong version, simply start the game, go to the folder /yourfolder/logs
gamed01.log (or log regarding your gs01)
Read the end of the log, you should find an error: element, gshop, or tasks. Replace the other and go until you find a compatible.
Didn't help me.

Edit: you need to get the same files as in your serverfiles.
What I'm saying is that you need the same files (don't try to copy/paste, cus it crashes).
Try using an editor to export them. Look around on google.
