How to change password directly in Database?
Im kinda stuck fixing my role tables now since i can't change the pswd without the "force password" plugin, wich doesnt seem to work for me. (See link at the end of thread)
In case there's no solution, would there be another possibility to replace the password directly inside db? Where does the Salt come from? I guess if i would know the Salt i could easyly create a salted md5 hash and put it in...?
Thx in advance!
Plugin Prob.:

Re: How to change password directly in Database?
If you're desperate, do it manually. IE: make note of the account number (IE: 32) then. DELETE it in MySQL
re-create an account using the same name (or even a different user name if you want), with your 'new' password. Then go change the "account number" to whatever the old one was...
You gotta ALWAYS think outside da box

Re: How to change password directly in Database?
hey!
thx for the answer.
I tried this several times already:
1. Created user.
2. Switched db id to 16 in "pw" - "users" (to get the infos for "role defaults" in iweb) and tried to login again - no success.
As soon as the db ID moves (since i cant create a User with ID 16, it has to be moved) the password cant be used anymore.
I guess i have either use one of the (non working) tools for force pswd change or ill have to put in the pswd hash manually....?
Sorry, i started with MySql yesterday night and im totally new to this. ;)

Re: How to change password directly in Database?
fixed
I used capitals for the char for default roles @.@ ofc you can just move a char in db without affecting the password!

Re: How to change password directly in Database?
Ofc you can, because the 'user account DB' is MySQL, and the character DB is the proprietary berkeley DB (GAMEDBD)
