Has anyone decompiled the class files for the server? Am going to try to cut out mysql and go to cassandra instead since it is faster

It evades me why you wish to implement something like a game auth server, which is like the #1 use case for relational databases, in a nosql derivative.

I would even contest it being faster - nosql is just "faster" on balanced key value data sets, coupled with mapreduce algorithms. Unless you plan for 2 million+ accounts with sharding and load balancers, I do not see any speed advantage at all.

At least somebody still does real development around here, so that's nice, I guess.
