    Mark Of Might

sELedit line 150 contains three skills usable by players.
Mark of might, skillgear 1 and skillgear2.
These "new" skills are able to be placed in your inventory slots marked "Mark of Might" and will give 3 new skills.
The mark of might offers a hp/mp recovery that stacks and becomes more effective vs the more you have.
However this item has an expiry date being 12-19-12.
The other 2 items "skill gear1" and "skill gear2" offer an attack and a stun skill.
The attack stacks but is just as powerful having 1 vs having 10,000.
The stun also stacks and becomes more effective vs the more you have.
These three items seem to work very well however only one problem exists and that is the expiry date related to the mark of might hp/mp recovery skill.
Being that this item is not given via quest but was added by me to an npc for testing i decided to test the expiry date by forwarding the server to 2013.
The mark of might hp/mp recovery skill did indeed "disappear" from my inventory...however the npc still had them for sale...upon re-equipping all was good again.
Sadly...upon relogging in the year 2013 (beyond the expiry date) also causes the mark of might hp/mp recovery to disappear.
The other 2 skills are unaffected by expiry as they dont state this and tested are not affected.
The expiry date has me stumped.
Ive looked over posts relating to "expiry" dates but its obvious this is not controlled by elements.
Ive a sinking feeling it is hard-coded into the GS and there is possibly nothing that can be done to change it.
    Any thoughts, all ideas appreciated.

Check tasks.data for the reward item, it should set expiration for specified items, keep in mind that there is also a item expire list on the server, so if your item is listed there, it will expire at the determined data/time.

Thanks michae5k, being that the item is straight from line 150, this setup (for want of a better word) does'nt afford any links to tasks.
I'm going with the expiry list on server side.
It would be really nice if this was the case as 3 skills is better than 2 :P

    Solved
WOOOT, yes it was server side.
gamed/gs.conf had it right there...awesomeness tyvm

    No problem :P

and for future reference ("being that the item is straight from line 150, this setup (for want of a better word) does'nt afford any links to tasks") Items given out by quests or rather task reward items can be allocated a expiration period via tasks.data modification, therefor there would be no link to tasks within the element fields as this items are reward items and are rewarded as specified by the tasks data.
element data can define items, not their use or requirement within a task/quest. :)

    Re: Mark Of Might

This item was not a reward item given from tasks it was put into an npc manually with no tasks involved...thats what had me stumped.
Being that this item is not given via quest but was added by me to an npc for testing
Yes im aware of the role elements plays in relation to tasks, much tinkering in there has also led to many "time limits" being eliminated on items for my server, not to forget soooo many rewards altered and new quests added eg for GM instant gain of whatever the imagination allows :P xD.
Im just excited now to have the opportunity to give something cool to the players and fill those damn "Mark of Might"gaps in :D
I even had the idea to clone these new "skills" and add /try out different numbers on line 4 to see if i could make my own "new" skills.
Unfortunately the next number after these three gave a wizard skill that the sin couldnt use and would serve no purpose to a wizard as they would already have it....so whats the point.
Anyways ty for the pointers michae5k, much appreciated.
