What all needs to be copied when going from a 1.4.6 v70 to v80... or what files should I say....
also which version of pw does everyone like or prefer?
Me I like 1.4.5 but I lik the new concept of v80 of the transformations.
I have some neat ideas as well.. ill be trying to implement and share those once I get my test server up. as well as new custom fashions made by me

well I like 1.3.6 as well.. sorta hated the new classes they did come out with... I loved pking with the old classes. in fact I don't know much about the new classes. never played em but heard they was way over powered. I just like a few new things in the newer versions like the transformations and the skills athough ill be changing all of mine.. as well as most the graphics and layout of everythingOriginally Posted by 343

True, I do like things like auto-path and gfx updates... If I ever ran anything higher than a 136 I'd block out the new races/classes - just because I too despise them, and yes they're a little out of place in terms of game balance... One of my prime examples would be how: the initial game of PW, weapons weren't really restricted. Example: a blademaster could equip a magic sword, or, a cleric could equip fist/claw. Well, all of a sudden they thought they'd "fix" weapon restrictions when they came out with these new races/classes IE, daggers, last I recall anyway since I have never played one either, is that daggers can only be equipped by sins. Why all of a sudden did weapon restrictions matter? Surely that doesn't add any balance, if anything it just throws the balance more off kilter since previously there really weren't any weapon restrictions. I do also understand there have been 2 or more development 'teams' on this game, which, well, just makes things worse, and where they are now - a horribly messed up game <.<
Yes auto path is great.. But it also makes us lazy. I was playing official pwi way before auto path came out. Sinceit came out it made everyone lazy as they can multi client a lot easier as well as other things. And yeah inever did get why they did put a weapon restriction on the charcters after the new updates. I mean hell I loved running around as a blademaster with a magic sword. or bow. and yes the daggers can only be equipped by sins... but I do think theres a way around that but it gitches the charcter as it ont sit right and have to do the bon editing just like with some mounts. and yeah they did add new dev teams to try and make it better but in the end its throwing off balance and gameplay.. as they are just money hungry and really don't fix the bugs that's already in the game but causes a lot more. I loved the old school game as it was more fun and wasn't so easy to do everythin.. hell took m a year in official to get to level 60... now its like a month if that... in which like the new transformation the werebeast and veno get, I plan on changing those as those are lame the veno is like a ninetails they could become a lot more original than that. and werebeast becoming kungfu panda that's just like wow... but could be a lot better.. but what would be neat is if they created a pet that can auto loot like in most rpgs nows... I know its a bit lazy but its good for low exp servers that's bassed off actually farming for exp and gold
Naa, at this point the game is already dead, all we can do at this point is reminisce about the good times we had with this one. As you've said there are so many newer games with more sought after features (and not to mention MUCH better graphics) that this game would never make a comeback either! I know to true 'gamers' (like myself) graphics don't always make the game, the content does. AKA, a realy game player would rather play a game that immersed their brain over their eyes. Example: You would rather play SimCity 4, over SimCity (2013). But the sad thing is, this game doesn't even have that -- there's NO way with how out of balance this game is and how much they've RUINED it beyond the point of no return that this game has pretty much lost ALL value...
Like I said somewhere else, it really is applicable, ALL (good) things MUST come to an end. Even our very lives!

this is very true... and like yourself im a gamer.. graphics doesn't mean everything it can have awesome graphics but the gameplay be horrible... hell my first mmorpg was silkroad I loved it and the gameplay.. till the bots and spammers took over the whole server till had to spend real money to even play... hell even wow is going to become free to play nows... but yeah pw is becoming a dead game.. but that's a thing with the private servers is we can adjust gameplay to what we know we would like and sometimes brings back some of the community... I would never go back to official after I ran my first few servers...now I just run a few test servers to do a few graphic testing and designing to help expand my knowledge a little more.. as I don't have net... I leech off the neighbors hehe thank god for wifi...
But theres not many mmos out there that has caught my attention like pw did
