Using DDOS on servers you're jealous of

Nobody said anything about sueing dummy, that doesn't work over the internet. But all server providers are bound by the rules of that country and if the users of their machines break these rules then the user can be held accountable by the provider who has a duty by the state to do so and control misuse.

+ if we tell somebody that their machine is hacked and being used for a DDOS attack then they can go chase after the hacker with whatever force they want. We don't have to do anything except whistle-blow.

Theres not much that can be done online, but it makes sense to do everything we can to stop these corrupt server owners who want to attack other servers because they fail at their own one.

Because there's still a big difference. While some of these 'illegal servers', I'm guessing, are hosted in places that may not 'honor' © law to begin w/. However it's ILLEGAL to ddos just about anywhere... For starters! Next off, the © holder would have to see charges through (it's not like murder where it goes straight to the prosecutor regardless of the 'victim' party's desire). Which it's very apparent PW is NOT doing (all these servers exist, yet they do nothing)... Unlike other games that HAVE taken action, PW is certainly one of the less 'risky' ones in my opinion. Seeing as they don't quite have a track record for 'busting' P servers... Furthermore, I'll go ahead and make some 'black market' references and comparisons... We'll make running a private server comparable to selling drugs, and we'll make ddos comparable to murder (since you're 'killing' somebody else's connection)... Which do you think the authorities care MORE about, some stupid drug ring, or MURDER... ... ... Should be an obvious answer... "murder" !!!

This is comparable to the small fish (informants) police 'let go' so they can catch the 'big fish' too. So, to jump to conclusions and assume that just because someone runs a P server ~ doesn't mean if they get ddos'd that they are entirely defenseless, no no no, ddos is higher up on the food chain than © infringement my friend. Not to mention, in this case the party guilty of ddos is ALSO running a private server. So in all technicality they're still more screwed than the poor guy just trying to run a server (and not attacking others)... or did you forget that one small little detail? So who do you think any authoritative figure/agency would rather "bust", the guy guilty of a single charge, or the guy guilty of TWO charges... Same comparison can be made of this scenario: you have a single local road officer sitting on the side of the road, he witnesses a car speeding at 30 MPH over the posted speed limit, and another one that is only going 10 over, but also blew a red light. I'll tell you right now, he's going after the guy that also blew the red light, because it's another charge <.< and although they may still go after the other guy too (he may have called it in on the radio) they may or may not catch him, and they may or may not care in the end...

So, as pathetic as my analogies are, they're still realistic. Whether you like it or not...

First, Like you said if I was doing a PORT SCAN, than WHY THE HELL was I scanning port 29000 as I know that PORT 29000 is AUTHD and is OPEN if you run a PWserver and you keep the default config.

A port scan by definition is a scan of open ports to see where you can launch a DDOS (the port scan can go from 1 to 65535).

Trying to ping PORT 29000 is LIKE WHAT ALL PLAYERS DO when they start their ELEMENTCLIENT.EXE !

SO YES, I saw you guys are down on my HOME PC, I was thinking maybe my HOME PC have connection issues, so I tryed connect thru a VPN I have on test.pwfrance.com, then I was happy you are getting real DDOS.

I only log packets on port 29000 as part of the dos protection in the firewall, I presume that you ran a scan on all ports to find which we use as our game port or for some reason sent a stream of syn packets to our glinkd in some dos attempt or something. Either way its written in stone on these logs just 30 mins before our first DDOS in 4 months (which has now lasted 5 days).

elementclient.exe does not ping the server, it instead sends a game packet on port 29000. Pings do not have ports, they are ICMP packets.

I'm glad you are angry, but you really don't have a leg to stand on here. You simply shouldn't of used your test server to see which of our ports were open.

You can hardly say that you are not competition when your little 40% donations deal system operates on so many other servers such as pw europe and elite kingdoms. Not to mention the fact that you and daniel spent almost an entire year trying to get and keep private the up-to-date server files in order to create a monopoly on PW, and now we have to ruined that by getting our own files and leaking some of them on ragezone.

Also if you are accusing anybody of DDOS-ing your home pc then you should ask yourself how they got your IP, if you havn't been attacking any other server.

=> Show me a proof that a ran a REAL PORT SCAN on ALL PORTS, it should be logged if I really did that, and your servers were already ddosed since at least 24 hours when I tryed to connect to your server to PLAY.

You cant connect because I blocked your IP. 1 port or many ports, its still a repeated syn communication by your server to our server shortly before a huge ddos started, I don't think thats just coincidence.
Funnily enough I probably know more about this stupid business model thing than you think.

You can't deny something when theres such solid proof you did it, and OVH could verify this.
