They are trying to make PWI "private server proof". Really why bother at this point? The game is definitely on a decline.

Pw Beijing don't acknowledge private servers at a sizable threat to their company.
They don't care, or read any of these pages.
Also the files are not modified, they are unedited (confirmed by checksum)

joey, search 1.3.6, 1.4.4, and bola's, 1.4.5 getting started server guides, and you will easily see how to run these files as, it hasn't changed since the beginning of time.
As for those of you who say you have a heavily modified npcgen, i posted a retail clean one on page 7 o.O seriously do we just post without reading these days.
npcgen is VERY modified so many things are there that shouldn't be
1.3.6 is structured quite different. 1.4.4 + are the only real good ones to follow
I mean that the npcgen and clsconfig that came with the downloaded package is modified. sxymxd84's npcgen seems fine (Thanks for that). Using clsconfig from a previous version seems to be working fine so far. Haven't looked at other things yet.
Honestly I don't understand why pwe is fighting private servers so heavily or pulling patches.... Somebody out there has a backup of everything on these forums. the fact that pwe is reading ragezone proves that they're scared of private servers. LOL
