PW Server Files 1.5.1 v101

I am the one who had the original problem with archer leaving starting area. I have re-downloaded the files and installed on my server as well as fresh download & install on remote server. Each time, everything works flawlessly except for Archers leaving the starter areas. Must be something related to the quest itself but havent really found any tuts on editing quests. I made the post to ask if anyone else had the same problem, but apparently no one has gone that far to find out except barriosmg. I must ask tho, if there is a corrupt file, why would all the other character classes work fine and not Archer? I currently have 1.4.6 server running smooth but will swap out drives and put this on again to get SS. What files in particular are you interested in for file size? Unless you want SS of each folder. The PWServerFiles1.5.1v101.tar.gz is 892,518kb - I do know that much

You can check whats wrong with the quest in tasks.data

Which quest are you using to leave origination if posdible add your tasks.data as thats where I think the error is I will compare it with mine

Of what I know in there every race has its own leave quest over there as it ports you to the old starter area

Hi I found the solution to the problem of the archer.
the problem is in the file task.data
I needed the quest in Spanish, so look for another server task
when we replace the problem was solved.


I need help with another problem. when I create a faction the server disconnect me, and then I can not log in with that character, I disconnected from server

For those that had issues with Gshop you can get it here

Client: gshop.data

Server: gshopsev.data

This is from a "retail version" current version of client 800 which I am running now. It is stock to that server which is why the gold amounts are not silver.

If you have the current PWE client it will work along with these server files for this build as long as all things are stock and unchanged.

yes, I now have same problem. When I create faction, server disconnects me and then unable to log in with that character. As soon as I try it gets disconnected.

When you make a new toon and your in the starting area is62 the boutique won't work go to the main map to see if your boutique works

imhaving an issue im using vmware as its just for myself, ive installed a fresh ubuntu, and these server files... i got everything to work except in pwadmin it shows authd is offline and in the authd log it shows that it has no error ive not tested it via client yet as ive got to fix it to work... but is there a fix for this as im using the ./server start command to start everything and it wont load the map 62 either

ive matched the authd with gamed and it loads map is62 nows... but it still shows offline in pwadmin... does all the isec keys have to match? as ive found one in gacd as well? (thats prob a noob question)

Hi whoami..i read that the server which the code gets the file is no longer available so I am downloading it.

Do you have any idea how to transfer the file through winscp to server? because when i try to login to server in wscp using my phpmyadmin IP adress/ server adress/ and login and apsswd it just rejects me

If you run on ubuntu make sure you did apt-get install openssh-server if thst doesn't help check your port forwarding too

apt-get update gives me error "temporary failure resolving us.archive.ubuntu" and then failed to fetch

dont have an antivirus so that wont be a problem

edit: ive noticed that the ubuntu download server does not work when internet is set to bridged...changing back to NAt seems to work

$PW_PATH is the location of the folder that contains your gamed it depends on where you put your files.

example:

PW_PATH=/home => this tells the script that the files, gamed, gamedb etc are located in the home directory of the server.

So when you got:

Chmod 777 is setting permission for the file chmod.sh which is located into the home folder most likely

You can go in winscp and rightclick on the chmod.sh => Permission and set it to 777

then do:

If the db like in my example is pw then the code is right i know there are .sql files that create a dbo database then you need to switch pw into dbo.

Now it is giving out this error on registration page.

@sora - I cant find the register folder anymore nor can search config.php

there is a registration file in var/www but after i edit it /change localhost to Ip-which is i think pointless/ it still doesnt load.

im trying a new clean install the previous one worked but with the error of "cant connect to mysql"

the server is running and has ping however I cant register..isnt there a ubuntu terminal command or cant i create an user in phpmyadmin?

Yea you can make a char in phpmyadmin just make sure that you convert the password correct and you can use any register script that you want.

Alright. I am registered. the problem was that i used "ip/register" instead of "ip/registration"...silly me

Checked phpmyadmin the login info is there.

Another problem is I get an error upong login in saying "Server network error". it may be because I changed some info in some files in winscp trying to get it work - like changed localhost or Ip or something like that. Do you have any idea what may be casuing this? So I dont have to reinstall whole server?

Server network error can be caused by so much things depending on what you did always keeping a backup is the spirit..

its the table.xml in most cases,
auth and mysql cant talk to each other = Server network error!

Reinstalled the whole thing again and I can log in now to character creation.

First, what are the logs telling you? any error?

2 Copy your table.xml and paste it here so we can see if everything is right.

3 Did you started your webservice? for pwAdmin to run i used http://forum.ragezone.com/f754/setup...v1-4-a-923968/

Apply it to your pwAdmin and the webservice that you use.

Logs are not saying anything in particular I guess if you mean the ones in /home/logs/is62...the is62 in /starting/ has some weird characters at the bottom but no "err".

I did not have iweb..just pwadmin..the page would load but after i log in the top line with links moves down and when i click one it either just logs me out or the blank page loads.

I did not have iweb..just pwadmin..the page would load but after i log in the top line with links moves down and when i click one it either just logs me out or the blank page loads.

localhost will make it run fine no need to change anything except for the database and the password and you should be set on the table.xml file.

Mind that not all pages are fixed on PwAdmin, some pages need database modifications/extra's but pages like Server control/addons/server configuration should work fine.

Ok I've put together a map start script for you, It's scruffy but will suit you for now it's also unfinished, not hard to finish yourself.
It will start maps and show you if they are alive or not. so no need for pwAdmin to start your maps.
I've also colour coded the output so that you can see what's going on...

upload to /
edit the directory on line:10 to match your server setup
chmod 755 map.sh
cd /; ./map.sh

Sometimes it doesnt but when i then press X /to see the maps which are running/ the main word is offline. Even inside the game I can not use the pigglets teleport to get out of the is62 world.

Npcgen.data add a npc id and coordinates to it.
Use d_showpos in the console to get the coordinates easily.

Has anyone tried making a faction? When you make a faction, you get disconnected immediately after making faction and unable to log that character into the game. I changed iseckey and oseckey to match those in authd/etc and still have this problem. Is anyone going to look into this or do I need to look elsewhere for help? If players are unable to make faction then this server is a waste.

faction works perfect for me, even faction houses / base

I'll take the lack of a response as a no, as I have also been unable to locate one myself. As many of you probably know, I couldn't personally care less, but I have a (RL) friend that wants this. I have and or have been using 010 editor and IDA PRO 6.1 & 6.5. Again, similar to back with v70 I located which bytes at what exact address need to be changed, just still have no clue on actually figuring out "the fix"... In all, also basing off previous 'fixes' - there are 256 bytes in total to be modified. After further analysis of all the previous fixes I also see that between all different versions of gs, for the "fix" there are 250 bytes in common. So at/by this point I have began to assume those same 250 bytes across all the 'fixes' will also be the same in this one. Leaving a mere 6 bytes to be changed. Here's that info in more explicit detail:

The first 3 bytes of 5 bytes: Starting @ 0x0009ACFD [E8 9A 6C 00 00], but given all the prior examples I have to go off of, it appears to me only the 3 bytes @ 0x0009ACFE [9A 6C 00] actually need to be modified.

The second part of it I see that, 251 bytes need to be changed but 248 of them are the exact same across all versions of the "fix" (from what I've seen), leaving all but 3 bytes that do not match. Actually starting @ 0x002E4CB3, the first 4 bytes are the same in every version of the fix [83 EC 08 B8], leaving the next 3 bytes @ 0x002E4CB7 [EC 68 68] to be changed. So, if I am correct, then only 6 more bytes need to be modified. The 3 bytes @ 0x0009ACFE [9A 6C 00] -and- the 3 bytes @ 0x002E4CB7 [EC 68 68].

Now, either way (right or wrong about only 6 more bytes needing modification) - I seem to have hit a brick wall...

if you download the vbox, you dont need to use any of this commands
simply start the vbox, change the ip's (if needed)
next unpack the 1.5.1 files on your vbox (edit ip's / mysql info if needed) and done

no, you dont need to downlaod it again, all you do inside the vbox is saved inside the vbox (you lose nothing)

owh so tutorial on this thread already including the download server and automatically execute commands on the server with virtualbox?

it will allow u to run server and 2-3 maps maybe with 2G ram. You will just have to close and open maps as needed.
