sTASKedit - Developement Statement

during the last weeks i got flooded with requests for sTASKedit 1.4.4 support and i don't know why...

so here is the development statement

1. sTASKedit is open source and i don't sell it
2. i'm working on 1.4.4 support since 3 month now and only 30% done, current developement version is incomplete, buggy and far away from alpha testing
3. i don't build a release version because sTASKedit 1.3.6 is the latest stable version and an old running car is better then a new one without wheels & engine
4. if you wanna stay tuned check the source code changelog frequently, or subscribe to the update notification
5. you still wanna try sTASKedit 1.4.4 that badly? build the project or download the attached debug version, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY
6. you are smart? wait until it is ready for alpha testing

did you check the md5 sums before saving and after(without editing anything) ? XD its totally different... and as ronny said its better to wait until he is done :P

did you check the md5 sums before saving and after(without editing anything) ? XD its totally different... and as ronny said its better to wait until he is done :P

the md5 before and after is different because all strings in the file will be cleaned from chinese remnants

i.e.
an original pw-chinese text (byte representation fixed length 24 byte):
12-34-12-06-a3-c9-71-ba-cc-56-98-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

has been localized with new text for pw-international (byte representation):
87-3a-c6-fd-19

the new localized text was inserted at beginning with a tailing zero:
87-3a-c6-fd-19-00-71-ba-cc-56-98-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

sTASKedit set the remnants to zero:
87-3a-c6-fd-19-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

that is why md5 is different from original file when just re-saving


UPDATE:

the automatic string update only appears in old sTASKedit 1.3.6
the files in sTASKedit 1.4.4 are different because of an arrangement error in structure and a wrong type definition (4x bool instead 1x int), this will be fixed soon

it opens tasks 1.4.4 That's what I've been wanting to do. It's an amazing tool, keep up the good work :)

But... there is Task split button, but no button to merge files, its inconvinent.
Hope that will be fixed soon
