    Gshop v1.5.1

Hi all, wondering if anyone has seen this error before? I started with sora1984 empty gshop and added 1 item to it.

    (sora1984's empty shop)
    http://forum.ragezone.com/f751/pw-se...4/index18.html

When starting the server i get the following:

    Profiles: 'gs.conf' configuration addendum: 'gsalias.conf'
    Binds function opens
Babolat Court of available items 28,297 entries in the index does not exist?
Babolat Court failed to initialize data
The first step initialization failed with error number: -31

Opening elements.data it is for sure in there. I have tried with other item id's as well and always the same message.

If i open the original blank one from sora1984 and then export the server version without adding anything new, it all works fine. I have the latest sGShopEdit from pwtools svn.

    Thanks

    Re: Gshop v1.5.1

    Hi argonaut,

I did see that message in the error guide but this one is a bit different. The one in the guide has this text:

Babolat Court items 27728 (a) exceeds the stacking limit 0

    My error has this text:

Babolat Court of available items 28,297 entries in the index does not exist?

Its a bit different. I double/triple checked the elements.data file for the id and it is in there.

Is there another version of sGShopEdit around? I got the one from svn and even rebuilt it from source but
both versions did the same thing with this crazy error message.

    Thanks

I use svn tools with no errors, try a different gshop perhaps, start with clean data files, your elements tadks etc, use a gshop from a 144 release perhaps, clean it out leaving one item and when you have everything running then build additions in slowly...maybe you have done all this already...i dont know if the gshop from this release is good or not as i always use one from a much earlier release...the gshops are about the only thing in the data files that is not version dependant.

    Re: Gshop v1.5.1

I used the gshop from sora1984. with these files on the server and client I can start the map and no version low message. All it has in it are the chat smilies though. As soon as i try to add anything to it ... error message.

I tried shop from 779 client and exported server (setting price to 0.01 for everything). i get gs error similar to above but it says invalid parameter instead. Sora's smiley shop was the only one that worked. I even tried using the ones from my 1.4.5 server (which works perfectly) but i get this same invalid parameter error.

I think tomorrow i will try remove 1 of the smilies and re-add it and see if the editor is working right.

It really sounds like the editor is broken...i would try re-download from svn.

    Hi argonaut,

I tried removing one of the items in the base gshop that works, then readded it and exported. GS failed to load. I did a hex compare on the file and noticed 1 byte that was off. I went back to the readded item and the price somehow reverted back to 0 when i had set it to 0.01. I set it back to 0.01 and reexported....GS worked!

I tried a few other items and it would seem that even though you set the price of a new item, something internally is not reflecting that until you move to another item in the list. After realizing this i am able to rebuild a gshop from scratch. I have successfully added 10 other items now and all is working great.

    Thanks

Good for you Steve in having the tenacity to stick with it and the intelligence to think it through and work it out.
