    no-ip would be inaccurate from my experience. If you ever need to know an exact answer as to what your WAN ip is there are a few ways to do this. 1) if your behind a router log into your router and check out your status tabs. A router will always give you the Internet IP assigned to you from your ISP. 2) whatismyip.com. of course there are many similar sites. but these 2 will always get you the proper ip (unless your connection from your isp is not static)

    Re: I can't put my server. 1.4.4 online :/

    I did it, look what it says:

    Connection Type: Automatic Configuration - DHCP
    Internet IP Address: 192.168.0.12
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    DNS1: 218.186.2.16
    DNS2: 218.186.1.58
    DNS3: 218.186.2.6
    MTU: 1500
    DHCP Lease Time: 60 Min

    Any ideas?

    Ignore the no-ip address and use the 218 one. Setup your url redirection and then give others outside your local network you no-ip address that you choose. For anyone inside your local network you use the IP address of the server itself.

    I already tried the 218 one, but I do not know how to make the people redirected to the network. :S

    Well the simple way is to install no-ip on the server itself and let it take care of things. There is a tutorial in the 1.3.6 section for installing no-ip.

    Alternatively you can just do it through their website. Click the Host/Redirects tab on the top and then click to add a new one. Fill out the details. For the IP you want the 218 one. Most other things could probably be left as default. I cant remember exactly though as it has been years since I have used no-ip.

    Also remember to forwards ports 29000 and 80 in your router settings.

    @Drakaer
    I just tried, but still the same :"Unable to connect the server" I also tried changing the glinkd/gamesys.conf the 4 IP's, but it didn't work either.

    @fgru

    I have a DHCP connection.. i think my router does not accept static IP.

    Connection Type: Automatic Configuration - DHCP
    Internet IP Address: 192.168.0.12
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    DNS1: 218.186.2.16
    DNS2: 218.186.1.58

    My internet connection works normally on the Virtual Machine and the ip there is 192.168.1.122. I did everything correctly using my no-ip account, even so it doesn't work.

    But im being honest, i've never used the fritzbox.

    Re: I can't put my server. 1.4.4 online :/

    You don't want to touch the IPs in glinkd/gamesys.conf. The first IP should be 0.0.0.0 This means it accepts all connections which is what we want. The other IPs should be 127.0.0.1 aka localhost. These don't need to connect outside the server machine. In fact there shouldn't be many if any IP's that you need to change in most releases (excluding premade vms).

    Can you successfully connect to the server on your local network? If not then you shouldn't be worrying about setting up no-ip until your other network settings are correct. I'm gonna take a random guess and say the server IP isnt on the same network and the router? Is your server IP something like 192.168.0.X (where x is any number <=255). Are you using bridged mode with replicate on on the vm?

    @Drakaer
    Yes, I can successfully log in using the virtual machine local IP (192.168.1.122). I'm using bridged mode on the VM. My local IP from the router is different from the local IP from the Virtual machine.

    IP router = 192.168.0.12
    VM = 192.168.1.122

    @fgru
    Yes, in my opinion, network is a complicated topic, but one time, my router was not working, then I called a man from the company to fix and he said to put a Static IP, I have to pay more for a better router or something.

    ahh, sorry about the fritzbox, I haven't even tried yet, but it probably won't work :{

    IP router = 192.168.0.12
    VM = 192.168.1.122
    try same ip range for all ... change vm to 192.168.0.122 ... and it will work ...

    Where did you change the IP to 192.168.0.122?

    I typed nano /etc/network/interfaces on the virtual machine and I changed my eth1 there, I changed the Static IP to 192.168.0.122.

    u need to change " etc/network/interfaces" | " etc/resolves.conf " [ nameserver ] and " pwserver/glinkd/gamesys.conf " [ i have first 4 ip to my local vm ip ] ... after changing u need to restart networkservice or restart server ... if restarted > try ping to router ip ... if u can ping router from vm ... try ping to a domain ... if u can ping this also ... change ip from " patcher/serverlist.txt " to your external ip ...

    What does your whole interfaces file look like?

    I meant the interfaces file itself not the output of ifconfig. Anyway the screenshot you provided shows your IP as 192.168.1.122. I thought you changed it?

    Code:
    nano etc/network/interfaces
    Post whats in there and if you can change the IP to be on your network and configure the other settings to match.

    Here , that's what is inside the etc/network/interfaces

    auto eth1
    iface eth1 inet static
    address 192.168.1.122
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.1.1

    I changed to 192.168.0.122 firstly, and the network was okay, but i was not able to log using WinSCP. Then I returned to the 192.168.1.122

    Re: I can't put my server. 1.4.4 online :/

    Use the following
    Code:
    auto eth1
     iface eth1 inet static
     address 192.168.0.122
     netmask 255.255.255.0
     gateway 192.168.0.12 <-- This is your router IP. It was completely wrong from what you posted on the last page.
    You are missing network I believe from what you posted. Should be
    network 192.168.0.0

    Been a while since I was last looking at my interfaces file.
