just a quick question or two

Hi everyone. Sorry if this has been asked before but there is quite an overload of information here and I'm old so please bear with me.

I was looking for a version 1.4.5 private server, not to run, but to join, when I saw something mentioning making your own server. I have a very close friend who I actually met years ago in real PWI and we have been playing a few different private servers for a bit since PWI has changed so much and we're having a hard time finding exactly what we want. Anyway, I saw something explaining how you can set up your own private PWI server and that led me eventually here.

Do you need a dedicated server/host, or can this be run like a Minecraft server for just me and my friend on my own pc?

Can it be limited to just 1.4.5? That's pretty much my favorite version of the game and the one I would really like to have for private use.

Is this worth doing for just two people or are we talking mountains of work? In other words, would I be better off forgetting this and continuing my search for a PVE 1.4.5 private server?

Localhost is fine, I only work on localhost myself for example

If you only want 1.4.5, use 1.4.5 server files :p logic..

When you've set your server on localhost, once your done with changing a few things your basicly done for the localhost, you don't need to do that much in my opinion.

Your best bet is to grab 343's Complete Package as it is as straight forward as they come and is everything you could want short of new things i.e fashion,flights,mounts.....
