    Odd Phoenix Issue

Hello all, as the title suggests, i am having a odd issue related to the Phoenix veno pet.

I am currently using PWI v62 files and it seems that with 144 and now 145 there is an odd bug in which Phoenix pets fly very low, and when it comes to attacking, they occasionally get "stuck" within the terrain.

Here is a ss to demonstrate:
    bug.jpg

This seems to occur on every map so i am certain it is not related to hmaps or dhmaps.

    Any ideas?

    p.s. thanks for any ideas.

The models data is directly from a pwi v62 descent client, which is parallel to my server files. so the models data should not be an issue. i have also not modified any data regarding the models of the Phoenix pet.

I have heard that other servers have had this issue, so just wanted to inquire as to how it was resolved.

I believe it is a graphic bug because in the world phoenix flies normally
perhaps improving the height of phoenix can be solve

    Re: Odd Phoenix Issue

Increasing the flight height would involve exporting the model and increasing the y axis elevation would it not?
I am sure there is a simple solution, but due to the uncommon nature of this issue, its not the easiest to resolve.

    Re: Odd Phoenix Issue

it wasn't as bad in 136, it used to happen occasionally, but now it seems veno's are unable to use the nix's for sustained pvp as they repeated get stuck.
For example, if you send a Phoenix after a combatant, it would fly towards them and attack at around torso height, now it seems to trail behind the target skimming the ground and then attack the target at foot-under terrain level.

    Re: Odd Phoenix Issue

The only thing that I could imagine it could be, would be the height-maps. Since we already know that characters themselves DO pay attention to litmodels, while NPCs mobs etc (which includes veno's pets, because I remember having to adjust the HMAP for a custom map I did on v136 where herc fell through the floor) do NOT - that they go off of movemap and hmap (etc... server side)... Try using old HMAPs ???

Oh well, sorry, I thought it may have been worth a shot since he said it seems to have gotten worse since v136 =\
