    Re: Which Files are easy to setup?

    Assuming by item shop you mean the gshop (i refer to it as boutique)
    The reason it is unable to be opened is not because its "not there" its just empty.
    If you fill the gshop it will show up and beable to be opened in game.
    If you need help with editing the gshop, here is a guide that i found helpful myself :)

    I believe (depending on the editor you have i use my own and ronny's from pwTools) it will work for all of the releases after and including 1.4.4

    Re: Which Files are easy to setup?

    in the tutorial he is using the EXACT same tool as you are, providing you as well are using ronny's pwTools... regardless gshop editing is the exact same no matter what editor you are using...

    Okay so there are 4 files
    1: gshop.data - This is the main boutique file for the client-side part of your server
    2: gshop1.data - This is the event boutique file for the client-side part of your server
    3: gshopsev.data - This is the server side file of the main boutique. must be time stamped with the exact same time stamp of the gshop.data.
    4: gshopsev1.data - This is the server side file of the event boutique. this again must share the exact same time-stamp as the corresponding client side file (gshop1.data)
    Note: The gshop.data and gshop1.data can be collected from the client while the gshopsev.data and gshopsev1.data is collected via the server.

    Now open the gshop.data (or gshop1.data) in the boutique editor by clicking "import 1.4.4 client".
    Spoiler:

    after you opened said file, Find the category you want, and a sub-category in the editor.
    Spoiler:

    after you are in the category and sub category you wish to add files to, move your cursor to the items section and right click then click add.

    doing this should add a new item, it will be called "[1] New" the more items you add the higher the bracketed number gets.

    after you added the new item, goto Item ID and put the ID of the item you wish to add in there.
    you MUST set a price for every item you add.

    when you are done click "get" next to the timestamp

    then move back up to file and click "export 1.4.4 client" then "export 1.4.4 server" (only save the one you edited ex: I edit gshop.data i export gshop.data and gshopsev.data)
    Spoiler:

    upload the files to your server and client then restart the world map.

    Did I loose you anywhere? because if I did please tell me because there is really no other way to explain how to edit the gshop.

    Client version too low is 9 times out of 10 you need to hit time stamp. make sure you have the exact same gshop.data in your client as in your server

    Re: Which Files are easy to setup?

    dont monkey around with the gshopsev.data just export to it from the corresponding gshop.data file
    gshop.data -> gshopsev.data
    gshop1.data -> gshopsev1.data

    Re: Which Files are easy to setup?

    it is supposed to be, its not empty per say. i dont know how to say this without people going nooo thats not it.
    Im going to say it like this, the program is coded to read the gshop.data, not so much the gshopsev.data, i know it says NULL dont worry thats normal

    Re: Which Files are easy to setup?

    gshopsev is a stripped down version for the server to read, not for the client. it doesn't need any of the fancy stuff the client one needs
