I will look into / test this later myself. Though if this is the case it's only precinct.clt/sev that you have to worry about ~ not region. Region has nothing to do with that

Thank you for that 'bug report', indeed the world map server side precinct.sev that I have supplied is somehow 'corrupt'. I will be fixing and re-uploading in a few moments

Ok, problem has been fixed in my new release of config.7z. First post of this thread has been updated with the new download link too (as well as "145 server stuff" in 'releases')...

I followed guide and readed a lot of post.
I have server from http://forum.ragezone.com/f751/tutor...er-1-a-856783/ running fine with 639 client: (580->applied patches from pwi till 639, then client files)

My problems were.
- gs fixed exp rates... (solved patching gs )
- Shop was in portuguese (I could edit gshop.dat and made gshopsev.dat (using pwtools gshopedit and GShop Editor 144 v2))
- Teleporting to tellus didn't work. (used world_tartgets.sev from pwi145v63 release)
- Auction didn't work (auctionid.txt solved copying from client and changuing encoding to GBK)
- Diplomacy button crash (solved using 632 files) Note. the files are not really in any 632 patch, i think they come from 621 or so.
- Friend list dissapearing (still woking on that)

Advices:

- Make sure permissions are ok . chmod -R 755 /PWServer should be enough. (but not really very security safe)
- Enough RAM to bring up main world.
- IP's are correct in configuration files
- If you're using Debian you can have connectitivity issues with java (authd)

for your problem with friendlist disappearing -> replace gdeliveryd in BeelzebubPW release and u can use good one from another release, gdeliveryd from BeelzebubPW release "in some case" can cause problem like yours with friendlist disappear and also can cause problem with join order in morai map.

As far I know, versions higher than 1.3.6 lag so much and they have lots of bugs to be fixed.

Only if you don't have an adequate machine to run it on. Yes anything higher than v136 requires MUCH more machine to be ran on. However, this is no problem for me, seeing as I have servers that go all the way up to 512GB of physical RAM... (YES you read that right, 512 GB of RAM)

If by home server you mean that's the OS I'm running on any of my servers, NO
If by server AT home, then yes ~ I have two full size 42U racks full of servers <.<

Sorry im new to 1.4.5 servers i was abke to get the 343's 1.3.6 server working properly but i downloaded the 1.4.5 server files and i'm confused as to what to do? do i just put these on a frenshly installed ubuntu or overwrite my 1.3.6 with these files? ik the 2nd idea is crazy but i couldnt find any "decent" guides lol ~ well not one for a noob like me anyways. would help if someone could point me in the right direction. This portion was only meant for advanced users, if all of this confuses you, you need to DL and utilize my v136 release package to learn

There's no real reason to use a server/client as I described how to 'build' in this thread as the 'official' v69 server is out. At this point in time I would just recommend to DL a v69 server because then you can use a virgin official client up to patch-670...
