About .PCK files

    About .PCK files

    Hello everybody,

    In my search for files and client Perfect World Perfect World Server was thinking ... In the Romulan Tool Pack that was posted by the Romulo here in the forum, has a program to Unpack. Pck files, I understand these files store models, textures and visual effects of the game.
    To unpack these files have a directory with all files and folders for models, textures, visual effects, from what I see in elements.data he refers to these folders so that the item can be used by the client and thus be viewed by players thus these searches led me to think about ... If I get the File models.pck, gfx.pck Surface.pck the current PWI and that is the key of version 316 and unpack them, then open the elements.data client and see the addresses of Models, gfx and Surfaces and put them in my elements.data Client and Server, copy the directories relating to such models, textures, surfaces, gfx for my files. pck and PAck them again and I could have the key items of the PWI 316 version that is the current ? Correct?

    My understanding about these files is as follows:

    1-gfx.pck: Stores light effects on flights, horses, weapons and skills to where I could see and understand.
    2-Models.pck: Stores the models clothing, horses, characters, NPCs, Flights, weapons, armor, etc.. far as I could understand.

    3-Surfaces.pck: Stores the textures of clothes, mounts, Characters, NPC's Weapons, Armor, etc.. far as I could understand.

    Does anyone have any knowledge as these files are listed? How some people can pick up items from a version of Perfect World 1.4.2 and put in a perfect World 1.3.6 for example.

    I would even be aware of it so I can help the community. I thank you.

    im not quite so sure what you're asking exactly, but take a look at .... this:

    talks about importing, editing, and exporting those files you're talking about (models etc).
    also there is a release of new-ish files of PWI from hrace and originally from ronny... so if its the newer files you want, look there?...
    if thats not what you're looking for, do a search in forum... there is more on packing and unpacking on different threads...
    as for going from chinese files to english, i use google translator to figure out what i've been looking at before opening - works well enough for just that. it takes some time and work though. and as for a permanent solution to the chinese/english problem. im still looking for one in a separate post and have asked for help outside forum.

    Thanks for the information, but specifically what I know is the following example:

    1 - In the current version of PWI official server, hairs in the section have fashions, or fashions for the head. Clothes that today we have not included in the Release of hrace009.

    2 - In some releases like Jack has elements.data the ADM mounts Jade Dynasty, but do not have to Release the hrace009.

    I ask.

    If I unpack Models, gfx, etc. surfaces. of Hair Fashions, flying mounts, and PWI client and put in the archives Models, gfx, Surfaces, and so the client that works with my server and then reference them in elements.data gShop.data my server and then the elements.data my client's reference to the models and textures that I copied the files. PCK of PWI for my files. PCK. That would make the items become available and functional on my server?
    It is possible that at some time in the near future is launch a release with TideBorn race with their class and maps?

    hm. well. thats an interesting theory. i would test it out on say a test server you might have up and see if that works or not. i'm not so good with the file side of things, but well, either it works or it doesn't. can always remove it if it doesn't work, right? perhaps someone else will share here also, who would probably know more about it than me.
    and as for tideborn, well, i hear from 1-2 people trying things to get the maps working at least, as for classes, that would require alot of aggravation, time and skill from a professional C++ programmer, as i understand it's unavailable to private servers [for use by pwi's official server only]... so unless there's another file leak well... as much as i understand, unlikely for a long time from now.

    Thanks for the info, as my theory of the files of the new key PWI I'll do some experiments here with the server copy of hrace009 I downloaded the forum. As the race TideBorn and their respective professions and maps, I'll wait, I even podeira try to make this work with C + + which you said, but I am not aware of how the models, textures, animations on the client and so little to read the server these features of character classes and maps of Perfect World. Well, if all goes well with respect to items of the new key PWI'll post it here on the same topic. Wish me luck.     hello, to extract the files from data1.pck, the application stops working

    I'm running under Windows 7 64Bits, syntax I use is "C: \ trutien_v1_0 \ Spack-x data1.pck" I think that's the correct line? ...

    add a screenshot with the problem:

    You can't open installation files (data.pck, data1.pck, data2.pck...).

    Only PCK files inside the element game folder.

    Btw, trutien isn't JD ?

    download the client PW-Jade Dynasty and want to edit the data.pck to modify the data connection to the server, the thing is I'm trying to build a private server

    client contains only 2 files PCK that would be the data1.pck and data2.pck (we're talking about Jade Dynasty)

    It's not possible to do this unless you have the source of JD to recompile the elementclient.exe

    But you can unpack Models.pck, Gfx.pck and so on in the Element folder of JD... And repack them of course...
