Try using MP3, don't know if it supports ogg... (newer client I know it does, JD not sure if it does, our 1.3.6 client I think it does not sure...)

Does it show the right name and everything? For the area? If it doesn't even have that of course music won't work... (Never played JD so I don't know its UI that well)

Maybe the JD client listen the musics from a "Musics" folder somewhere inside sfx.pck like the PWI client does ... Idk well how work the JD client ... But sure the JD client 1.3.6 is different than the PW client 1.3.6

Well JD runs on the same server and very similar client... Before the JD section was added it was common for it to end up here to it is not totally bad... (And from what I've heard the JD section is pretty useless)

Sadly I'd have to agree that the JD forums lacks content, other than what's been posted by the more experienced devs from this section...

you might want to verify you are in the precinct area at all, sometimes the precinct files refuse to work on newly tag'd maps and need editing.

Well its really annoying when people don't realize that they are both so similar that they are basically the same damn thing, especially when the server side is pretty much the exact same
I just think that it should not be in pw section, no matter if they are similar or not.

I found nothing wrong with CoolGirl asking for help with JD here, She will get better results for her inquiry here rather than the JD section because the best people for PWE content are located right here in the Perfect World section. das7002 is quite right in saying the two games are almost the exact same server setup. It's all about helping out and learning
Give CoolGirl a break she is trying to work on something that a lot of people from here can help with cause they have pw experience, which might help someone else out with transferring stuff from JD to PW.

You have to set a day / night SFX and set the music index so the client knows how many music there are for a certain precinc.... i attached a fixed example to my post which you can copy paste, i marked the music index part red. You have to correct the day / night SFX sound since i dont know where they are stored in JD.

Should work this way, if not just report back (never worked on JD but the client is almost the same as the PW when it comes to mapfiles..)
Edit :
You also have to set the tag of your map, for worldmap you have to set it to 1, custom maps got custom tags so i cant help you with this.
