    Adding/Removing Safe Zone

    Hi guys me again :P

I was looking through the Forum and haven't found a guide on how to Add or Remove Safe Zones, would it be possible for someone to tell me how to? As I added a New Starters area and it is not a Safe Zone.. Meaning anybody can kill Newbees there....

Also wanted to ask how I can fix the map I have Monsters on the Tideborn Area but they vanish into the Ground etc, any ideas what that could be?

    Help is much appreciated.. :)

look at region.clt in client, then open the region.sev in hex editor, its the same values, just in hex and with most text removed.

Client region is in plain text, dunno what all the numbers stand for, gonna fiddle with em after I get my test server running... Also, I read somewhere you can use Ronny's sMap to export/modify the client to the server binary. Just search like region.clt or region.sev and you should see it :P

sMAPConvert (old, got merged into sMAPTool) will do it... searching would've gotten OP the answered he needed...

    Re: Adding/Removing Safe Zone

Well guys, i was playing around with that. I found out that they are like lines, and each line has a connector end.

    -2530.360596 212.984573 4179.893066
    -2479.267334 220.548294 4190.765625
    -2437.542236 220.995117 4137.787109
    -2469.698486 218.411942 4087.776855
    -2505.385742 221.888626 4047.897217
    -2520.250244 217.868668 4051.548096
    -2579.227051 217.949570 4079.913330
    -2578.665527 216.452377 4123.163086
    -2546.649414 218.257568 4170.906250
    -2530.360596 212.984573 4179.893066

That is for the shattered ice village (i think thats where it was). And with it, i found out that a couple connect. Like, -2437.542236 220.995117 4137.787109 -2469.698486 218.411942 4087.776855. From -2437.542236 220.995117 4137.787109 to -2469.698486 218.411942 4087.776855 there is a safezone. It is like some type of polygon. The end of one connects to the other, giving it a "pointed" safezone. I dont understand though, how do you specify a break in the lines?

Set them all to a very small area...

    Re: Adding/Removing Safe Zone

Be my guess, yes, tho I haven't messed with safe zones yet, although I am going to look into them later on, especially the one that is suppose to be for the Human starter area, new characters are always spawned outside of SZ there :P But my problem is, I can't get the new sMapedit to convert for me :( Any ideas? I keep getting the same error over and over, something about Index was outside the bounds of the array and then it spews out this:
    Spoiler:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
