Changing elementclient.exe signature?

when starting server, and then hack

if fail, it will be very sad

I hate to say it but HRACE is right, and that is the exact reason I am making a server to strictly emulate 'official'. I am one of those people; well actually I have never played private server, because I find it too boring; you're handed everything on a plate basically... (and I like a challenge)

Granted we're way behind (1.2.6 /-/ 1.4.2), people usually think adding all this custom content and giving level 150 and cubi and items and spiritual cultivation. That's all fine and dandy to have a server set up like this just for PvP only. But that gets boring as hell after a while! That's why I think more private servers actually need to emulate the 'official' servers as closely as possible. Because almost all private servers currently cater to PvP, but what about PvE !!!??? What about keeping your audience around for more than a few months.

To me it's kind of in relation to cheat codes, these types of private servers ; ya know the ones with 1,000x exp etc... appeal to little kids, or those who would otherwise use cheat codes on a console game.... Well guess what, there are people out there who actually like the challenge and will play a game ALL the way through without using ANY "cheat codes", and I just so happen to be one of 'em.

So as far as being a successful private server operator I think you actually need a minimum of two servers (so you can cater to both types of players). One that's ridiculously obscured for fast/easy PvP, and one that as strictly emulates the 'official' servers as possible (0 EXP boost etc...)

various hobby.. some players only want for fun.. pking all player.. but yes.. some players want play from zero.. with hard games.. and i agree.. need to make 2 server ( PVE & PVP ), we need to know market.. not all players have same hobby.. :thumbup1:

I been pvp-ing on private servers everyday for 2+ years with the exact same build mage....

so not really.

uhm, again, that's your personal flavor; not mine! Now I happen to know there must be a LOT of people like you as well. However, you cannot say there also aren't a LOT of people like me :p

you have to remember, just as I have, that not everyone plays within your own style or likings ... !!!

But I do kinda side with robb and Bash a lot since they are usually the first to add new stuff to their servers and do it very well and I adore them for that

But yeah... I do like pvp a lot... but Im also a giant carebear on official very often

Well I am not trying to discredit their hard work, or any 'custom' work (from anyone). That is why I said there are two server types needed to be successful; so that you can cater to both types of players ;)
