after a long time not posting here and doing other stuff, i need some help
i restarted mah Server ( changed nothing ) and now all mah players get that "Could not log in to Server" message after clicking start in character selection. Any ideas what this could be ?
It really sounds like something was changed, does your map service even start up? Did you change a config file somewhere, and forgot about it?
I changed exactly nothing and pwadmin shows everything as online ( also all maps exept those that doesnt work like Sand palace n stuff )...
Thats exactly why im confused. All changed after a simple server restart ( full restart with init 6 command, not only the PW server )

This sometimes happens to me, for me when this happens the gamedb crashes but as soon as I restart the server again it works fine. Not sure if it's the same problem you have but might be worth giving it another restart.
lol. Fixed.
Dunno why but after a new restart of the server it all works fine. Maybe one of the services just was drinking some coffee or somethingBut who cares. Now it works again.

Well i have the same problem the server some times, when i restarted i can´t be enter, and say coult not loggin in, after a 2 or 3 mins they can enter, well i erase the log chat and works fine again, i don´t know if this problem whit the ram but works for me
Are you sure you were not just trying to log on to fast after the server restarts/reboots because you realize you have to give the maps time to come online before you enter right?

I thought you were looking at using ryzom core?
OGRE3D is a nice rendering engine but it is just a rendering engine, although it works good with nvidia PhysX
I haven't tried Ogre but it did look nice. I have Panda3D - Free 3D Game Engine installed on my laptop. I was bringing models from maya into it to test them out. I'm gonna build some new models sometime and mess about with it a bit more. I should be able to learn a thing or to about python and c++ from it and I know heaps more about modeling now.

I should have subdivided the models first though so they are actually round and not blocky. I also only used the default maya shaders so they only have a plain color texture. I should have made proper texture maps to make them look realistic but I didn't know that back then when I did this.
Ryzom engine is just simulated 3D so it was not possible to do much with it. Gamebryo is really good but the NIF format sucks.
Ogre is old... i know its powerfull but i dont really like it

Well on the plus side... Most modding tools for Bethesda games would give you a lot to go on for making things for it...
