Yes, it doesnt work with 1.3.6, the reason the button is there is because you are using a downgraded interface not the original one so it has some stuff that is useless

no, you can try to change your keyboard layout to qwerty or qwertz though, and try to get used to it.

Use an external key mapper like this one:

Added note:
I have found that the internal key mapper on PWi sucks anyway. It will not let you remap the up arrow and some other ones that it says are "system reserved" or some shit. So the 'internal' one (that doesn't work for us anyway) isn't any good to anyone who would desire to say change WSAD to ↑ ↓ ← →. So even currently I still recommend to people to use an external key mapper, since the 'internal' one SUCKS anyways!
