    DDS reflections.

alot of the armor files named 17, 18 or 19 have a strange reflection issue on our elementclients. I did manage to remove this for 17/18 i just cant remember how i did it (was over 6 months ago). Its almost like it has a metallic status or something. Theres no issues with alpha or anything else tho.

i have attached one of the files in question.

There is a way to set them back to normal, can anybody remember it?

    solved:

draw a black square over the alpha layer, it removes the problem.

    Re: DDS reflections.

I have tried this issue on a reskin of the Nirvana Lunar armor sets I did. But nothing seems to work, If i delete the alpha channel completely, then save it, the alpha will automatically reappear. I tried messing with the image settings while saving it but still no go. The weird this is...I have treated the full set all the same, but the male robe top shows up normal with no chrome shine over it, and I notice it has no alpha channel.

<<; is there any other ways to remove the chrome shine over the nirvana armors?

Set the alpha channel to full black like he said...

Any image editor worth it's salt lets you edit channels individually

Like I said I tried it, I used Photoshop CS5 master suite edition, plus if I had not tried what was stated in this topic then I wouldn't of been posting asking if there was another way to possibly fix the issue...

Did you make sure you saved the dds with the same settings as it originally was? Photoshop is notorious for changing them on you...

Do you guys mean that the whole armour set is kind of shiny/metallic looking? Cos I got rid of mine using the armour fix in Ronny's fashion tint fix :)

This thread is from before that program, when it was first implemented.
