! Double Jump (controlling / rules)

So... my next major goal is to figure out how to control where you are, and are not allowed to; double jump. If anyone else knows, or finds out, please post up. I will post up any of my brainstorms or findings as they come about :)

Re: Double Jump (controlling / rules)

how is this configured is my question? Example... World IS 19; you are NOT allowed to big jump/double jump. So how would I configure the server to allow big jump within IS 19 ?

---------- Post added at 05:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:52 PM ----------

Or even say I wanted to disable big jump/double jump in GS01 world map... How would I go about doing this ??? where are these configurations set ???

any a- maps (e.g. a32) are small jump.
    any others are big jump.

change the folder and it changes the jump.

Re: Double Jump (controlling / rules)

Then what about a21 and a22? You *ARE* already allowed to double / big jump in those; yet they are in folders that start with A ???

---------- Post added at 06:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 PM ----------

I just verified the folder name has no effect whatsoever on jumping capabilities.

Well I have been unsuccessful in determining how to control double jump yet another night, back to work tomorrow (I could not discover how it is controlled in precinct.clt/sev if it indeed is :\)

Never said its easy or straightforward. If you want to test it: simply empty the precinct of a map on server side (don't think client matters), reload it and then go in this map. It should be big jump, forced pk (can pk even lvl 1 or blue named) and when you die you instantly respawn.

(About a/b map that was just an answer to Robb, a- has both small and big jump and world or instances so just doesn't make sense as you noticed yourself).

{k, I am slowly waking up here :)} I am not sure what you mean by emptying precinct, even to test it; as I know you cannot empty it of it's contents entirely / have an entirely blank precinct.sev file, or delete it since then the map service for that specific map would not even run then.

    I have noticed; The tags for either World or Instance appear to be what determines if that instance is enter-able by the entire world [World tag], or only by individual squads (Instance tag] :) :)) {and this appears to be the only thing this controls}

Client side or server side? I have changed server side the physical name of the folder from a19 to b19 and altered configuration files to match so of course it knows where to look for it. I enter a19 / is19 World instance, and I am still not allowed to double jump.

I would not even know where the configs for the client side is to tell it what folder to look in... So I could not even attempt to test that theory out...

I'll help you a little, here is what could be an empty precinct:

    Code:
    version 6
    1234567890

Edit: attached a demo, jumping in fb109 (drag file to firefox to read it if you do not have a player)
    Attached Files Attached Files

Is that your own work? I am just wondering because it looks like that is just someone utilizing the 'jump hack' because I saw a third jump in there when he was coming back down...

Re: Double Jump (controlling / rules)

I have no reason not to right now... uhm... no, my problem comes in where I am trying to empty out the precinct.clt, I do not have any .sev editor so my only way to get a SEV is to convert from CLT - SEV... However emptying out the .CLT file causes my converter to crash and not convert the file; so I have been unable as of yet to actually be able to test this :(
