@nofxpunkerbrian
I've been to your site and observed your server status for about half an hour.
Before 10 minutes:
After 10 minutes:Code:Server: Online Users Online: 578 Accounts: 25399
Notice the online users, it's still the same after 30 minutes.Code:Server: Online Users Online: 578 Accounts: 25399

Back to the topic ;)
It's not easy to decompile an exe file (no matter the programming language), otherwise software companies across the worlds will ruined (Imagine if the M$ Office software is successfully decompiled). It's especially almost impossible to decompile GFX/SDL/DirectX/OpenGL or any direct GPU rendering exe (i.e game clients) than traditional GDI/GDI+ (common software i.e calculator, notepad) since the complexity is just... well... you know 8)
The only logical solution to this is to support PW-EMU project, that is creating our own server software that can communicate well with the clients. This way we can implement new features on (our handmade) server with compatible client. Like creating a server that supports all features of tideborn, and we can simply use tideborn-enabled client.
The only and biggest challange is to be able to do two-way chiper (encrypt/decrypt) packets that PW uses
Note:
I am in no way affiliated with PW-EMU project, altough i'm trying my best to help them and PW development in general (including this community)
PS:
The M$ Office starting from version 2007 is using WPF with direct GPU rendering compared to earlier version which uses GDI/GDI+ with COM and OLE. That's how they achieve such eye-candy graphic for a mere office suit
isnt PW Emu on hold right now though?
