When someone hits a roadblock they ask someone they trust for help, if that person isn't 100% trustworthy they leak the files, to another "trustable" person, and before you know it, it's out there and no longer private. it's just how it works.
Perfect World, WILL come after them. They do take these things seriously they hounded me about RaiderZ for aeons till I just stated my case and how I was immune to all their legal threats and they buggered off, but needless to say these guys aren't immune, they are in direct violation so they are going to be targeted hard.
It's no hidden fact that PWE is loosing money per year, and they just shelled out A LOT to buy the licence to RaiderZ and with NHN USA (IJJI) loosing it's licencing on GunZ in a few months I'm sure PWE will pick up that too, at a large cost. So they are loosing/spending money and last thing they need is the threat of a private server taking their funds.

Bash never hided / protected his content, he actually stated few time on this forum, that if anyone is starting a new server, he is free to download his client and take his ideas. If u ask me - I am against sharing server's custom content, because it will make server to loose its uniqueness and yes, i hate leechers. It's because I am working on my server for 4 months now and if ppl would just copy my stuff, it wouldn't help me. I only denied your false statement that Bash and Eistiger hide their files, because of course they don't. In my opinion if one wants to share it's fine, if he doesn't it's his buisness.Quote:

This is a community for sharing, most comments have been stated only bring up the fact that if they don't share it will put a target on their backs, not necessarily from this community but in general. I want to know honestly after paying ISP, electric, & equipment upkeep, who actually makes money from this game. Hell I don't even accept donations on my server, so greed isn't even a factor for me. And just like it has been stated, it is very difficult to do everything on your own, that is why this community survives.
