Because
1. Farming/merchanting takes too much time on the official servers compared with high rate P servers
2. You need to cash shop a lot to be able to efficiently solo a lot of squad mode dungeons (without having to spend a lot of time finding squads early on, to get the gear you can solo with later on)
3. PVP on official servers is hopeless and insanely expensive
...I could probably go on and on, the truth is the only reason I don't play P servers atm, is simply that they don't have TB/EG/Genies. The old version is just too boring now, since I've actually played the game for a long time. Having TB/EG/Genies would probably attract a lot of people.
PWI sucks, because it's like an expensive private server. You can get your gear from the cash shop directly, only you have to spend a lot of RL money to get it. They also made leveling easy with Hyper+FF.
Don't even get me started on this -- I've ranted about this before -- In short high rate servers are the most retarded thing ever, for 12 year olds -- I got a rant about this somewhere

envagyokazapad, reasons 1 and 2 are why I quit the official servers, and started learning about pw development :) And not have to play with random noobs who don't have any manners and shout "HEAL ME NAO PLOX!" why pulling a Leeroy Jenkins in a dungeon :/ Hence why my own private server is hosted on my LAN for friends and family :)
ahhhhhh and this == you play a sin (one of the reasons the game is out of that little thing called BALANCE)

Seriously, this is WHY the P server world does strive on --in my onion-- Sure there are people who love to play OP classes like sins/seekers etc...
But then you have people who LOVE the private servers because they're not out of balance (at least no where near as out of balance as PWi) :D
EXP, well, to me the 12 year olds running the 1,000,000x exp servers are exactly that. TWELVE year olds, the same people who would use cheat codes on a console game... Well IDK if it has anything to do with being an adult or not, but (call me crazy) MOST of the fun of ANY GAME, is the CHALLENGE ...
So yes, give me an option to join a 1x (normal) server and a 100x -- I'm gonna join the 1x/normal rates...

What can do some advanced russian developers:
1. 1 p server in ru have 79 and 100 skills
2. 1 p server in ru have 9 teammates in team
3. 1 p server in ru have edited existing skills to rebalance classes
4. There is much new info and tools to make server unique and interesting
5. Russian dev forums use the system of reputation, which hides much important and unique tools and info from useless kids. But thoose ones, who helps community to improove, gets some extra help from community. Thoose, who dont want to improove themselfs (and just want to get files and use em to make hard donation server for getting easy money) pays fee to get thoose extra tools and info. That fee goes to improove community hardware and software to make more comfortable the developing.
6. if even a half of leachers in rz give a cent to devs (like ronny and etc) for each release they do, they could upgrade their hard and soft ware and do better dev. If half of programmers in rz help anubis (not just sit and say "let me think, to help or not, maybe youll fail, maybe not, i cannot decide") he could finish his job faster and all fucking leachers could get that shit 1.4.4 content fully.

I'm on the side of Anubis, use the little time I have grating in Wireshark to try to contribute something to the EMU Angel Project, How to PWFrance have no doubt that is the PWEmu. Only the arrogance described in the previous post, has to feel it. I do not care that PWFrance, tou believing and believing in the EMU Angel, I hope to soon have something good to contribute to the Forum's Angel EMU and everyone who worked on the development of the PW and share your expertise and files are worthy of applause, because they develop a great job too, but right now I prefer to give my strength for the EMU Angel.

Also if it's true that this is the PWEmu emulator then what about contacting PWEmu (Who ever is in charge of that)? And check how their Emulator is getting along.
And if the emu was finished wouldnt they have contacted other big pservers to get the best price for it?
They could at least share the npcgen for everything so we could have the proper ones
