    Hair

i added the fashion Spicy from PWI and was trying to add the hair. i noticed its under fashions instead of hair like the other hairstyles. i added it both server side and client.. even added the type and sub types for it.. i added it to a npc. i see the hairstyle but it wont let me buy it? is there a way to put instead of a npc into the charc instead or can it work via npc? i copied it exactly like PWI setting.. and yes i have all the files from PWI as well.. the fashion works great.. just when purchasing the hair style it says Invalid Service Request. Anyone have any clue?

Our current server file/client does not support hairstyle/headgear functionality. What the other devs did was to import those hairstyles in the elements.data and used the IDs (style/texture) via the characters .ini file.

well i found that topic of how to do that.. but on my ids is alot different.. and they have 2 ids as mine only has 1.. and mine only has one path

Models\Matters\物品\时装掉落\时装掉落.ecm... as i know theres has 2.. so instead of making dds.. its to convert to a tga and link that to the data i take it.. and instead of linking the ecm u link the ski.. as theres alot of post on here.. but none that say all that.. which if works is pretty sweet..

Server is unaware of the equipment slot for headgear so it doesn't do anything if you even manage to put something there

Actually I'm pretty sure we can blame this solely on the client. Don't forget, for lack of a better explanation, the server is a huge database; keeping track of who you are, what you've done, what you have in your bag, who you're married to, what your position is in the world, what speed you're traveling etc etc etc... Yes I am well aware the server does control some of the 'permissions' but for the most part that's done through having a server and client side of certain files like elements, and tasks for example. So one could not add ('hack') a new item/task by merely editing their client side. So... I am pretty sure we can blame most, if not all, lack of 'functions' on our old client.

On a stretch, I honestly think the server files we already have could even handle 'a new race/classes'. Some of the framework is already there for 2 more classes. Keeping in mind that the server is mainly a storage tool more than anything; if the client permitted us to 'create' a 'new class' the server would gladly store it... I'm almost sure. So, what is stopping that from happening -- 1.4.2 and our server aren't compatible because of changes to encryption... :\ I am thinking if we could figure out how to make a 1.4.2 client work with our server (or visa versa) many new things could happen ;)

actually yes he is right.. server is mainly used for storing... as client is what handles most.. and with unlocking tideborn city.. can see it has to do with elementclient... i am thinking that is the case with classes as well.. cuz yeah the classes are there.. i also think the skills.. not 100% sure but can add if we got the classes working. sadly enough i think same with hairystyles. so maybe one day we can hack and get the classes. or look more indepth on client side and see what we can work with
