Can some1 help me?

I make the list of flow how to setup a pw server but i need some1 to tell me right or wrong...
If it is convenience for u, can u make the right 1 based on my wrong list if im wrong...

Here is the list that i make: -
1. Install MSSQL 2K
2. Install MSSQL 2K SP4
3. Configure MSSQL
4. Install Colinux in C:
5. Copy server files to C:\clinux\pwserver
6. Configure pwserver.bat
7. Make swap files; name it pwserver
8. Run pwserver.bat
9. Configure server ip n etc.
10. Install pw client
11. Update the client
12. Configure client
13. Play

I do this for my private server but it seems like the client cannot connect to the server coz the server version not the same as the client but im not sure that i do the server the right way or not...so to calm myself...can y'all help me
