Help please.

Hey Guys,

I have been following this guide:

I have the pre modded client etc, but i can;t seem to connect to the virtual pc. i type in "ifconfig" in the command box and i shows the 192.169.0.50 in the line for inet address. But when i try out the phpmyadmin link it doesn't connect.

Theres on thing i am not entirely sure on and that is the part in the guide where it says:

Select the new PW-Server and setup the Network Bridged Adapter
select your PC Network Adapter in the Subnet (192.168.0.7)
enter this MAC for the virtual PC: 0800270D06EF (or ubuntu ignores the eth0)

hich "PC Network Adapter" do i choose and where do i put the 192.168.0.7??????????. I have entered the correct mac address in btw

These ae the settings of your "real" network adapter on the host pc...

I have selected my network adapter but, how do i tell if the subnets are the same?

usually subnets are configured by dhcp of your router or set to standard (255.255.255.0)

it said on ipconfig that my pc is 255.255.254.0 and the vbox server is 255.255.255.0 ???

well the mac address is right, and i followed the guides steps exactly but it just won't seem to connect as if the ip address of the vbox server doesn't exist
