3.i know how to use vbox to start ubuntu, but what does it mean to mount server iso
4. After i've download the server files where do i put them.
1 - Extract the client and you will be left with and ISO. You can then either
a) burn the ISO to disc then copy the files off
b) mount the ISO on a virtual drive like daemon tool, magicdisc etc then copy the files off
c) I believe 7zip can actually extract the files from the ISO
Once you have the files it should be the client all ready to go. All you have to do is change the IP in "serverlist.txt" if you change the IP of the server.
2 - See above for the client. For the server if you use Virtualbox you need to start your vitual machine then choose
[Devices]>[CD/DVD Devices]>[Choose a Virtual CD/DVD File..]
Find the ISO then load it.
Then run
Code:
mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom
cd /cdrom
cp -R * /
3 - See above. Basically mounting is making the ISO readable. Essentially its the contents of the ISO (disc image) either on a virtual CD/DVD drive (Windows) or in a folder (linux)
4 - See above and the rest of the guide. Once you have mounted the disc in Ubunutu the "cp -R * /" command will copy all the files to your Ubuntu installation. You should then be able to run the other commands and finish setting up your server
