Help whit this problem pls

Well i dont kwon what happen whit mi vbox/ubuntu, i buy a ram and put, i start de server normally enter to the pwAdmin and all fine but i forgot set de ram in vbox, shutdown the console and config the ram in vbox, and open console but now cant acces to nothing the ubuntu dont sayme nothing about packages upddates and pwAdmin, phpadmin, or the index dont work, looks like in blank or new vbox machine, why is this??
put the ram off mi pc and i try like before but still the same error.
I think is error from ubuntu, wanna backup the characters i see were is the files, but for the accounts where i can find the files?? is msql but i dont see the folder.
I aprecciated any help for this, thanks.

Only part out of that I can really understand is about the RAM, in which case that doesn't matter if you change it, Windows guests might bitch about it but, Linux does not care
