Re: Help with apt-get install noip2

In resolve.conf you want to put the ip of your router. ie your gateway.
My resolv.conf just has the one entry.
nameserver 192.168.1.254 <- This ip is my router

You don't actually need to install noip at all. You can just goto your noip account and tell it to redirect to your wan IP.

Remember to port forward 29000, 80, and any other ports you want to use.

When I used no ip I didn't set it up on the server as there was a function in my router for it. Yours may to if you look, I'm not sure.

Its probably a better idea to go to your NOIP account and direct to your wan IP
