here's the scenario..
i downloaded a PWI downgrader from ronny1982, now its on zip file
supposedly im going to extraxt it and run the patch.bat, now i cant extract it bcz my window cant read those file within that zip..
??.ecm will over write another ??.ecm, it comes up with, my extractor mess up.
is it my window or the file got a problem?
on some other file my window reads Chinese characters
another one is, when i run the server, i cant log in, but i did create my character.

You need asian language installed on your win7
You will need your CD/DVD of win7 also to do it...

If you can't login, check if your "gs" isn't crashed...
If yes, it's probaly due to an corrupted .data file
Use 7-zip to extract it.

If the downgrader wouldnt work why do you expect the client to work? You cant login because you client doesnt have the correct files. Either it didnt downgrade, elements not correct, gshop not correct, .pcks not correct or help script not correct.

take a look at different .ECMs or .GFXs to determine what the different parts mean. and by that I mean, compare two files and know what they do in the game differently from eachother... that's how i've learned... (and moreso that applies to .GFX instead of .ECM)
but that problem has little to nothing to do with translating simple chinese lol.
