Simple way is to just use an existing event from npcgen like 13800 for the GM Seller ( you could use this because it just spawns that Seller NPC where players cant reach )
Dunno how to make a whole new one but i think there is more than just adding a new row and give it an ID.
Lets say you want to spawn a jaden quinfu beetle thingy in adc. You need to setup that in npcgen. at the end of the line you choose the trigger that activates this spawn event. Lets say this is 999. then you have to config a new trigger in npcgen editor at the trigger tab that handles this spawn.
And like i said if you want to activate that jaden quinfu with activate monster creator id 13800 just set the last number in the mob row to 14 ( i think it was 14, check the GM seller for that )
edit:
Its 24 in trigger field. Then you can start the spawn with ID 13800![]()

a other posibillity is adding a new mob to elements.data and then use the monster creator in the gm console to spwan it
But the editor of ronny is damn slow on my computer so I prefer this one.
And this one is very good too anyways...
Btw, new version 1.5: http://www.sendspace.com/file/9uk9au
It support ressources list and the interface was improved.
When you open it, it ask you for your elements.data and your npcgen.data
You can import directly your coords from the window game into the software to make npcgen editing more easly...
The map picture was changed also.

the pictures in paragraph 2 and 3 should be self explaining
also the columns in the triggers tab of sNPCedit have understandable names...
take a look in my frost map, there are some simple trigger examples (assuming you know the frost dungeon)

sNPCedit was designed for efficiency and not to be awarded for the most beautiful user interface...
if you just wanna add or edit single npc's you're fine with any npc editor, but if you wanna edit hundreds of npc's or customize triggers you should use sNPCedit, the table based cross-view saves you a lot of time...
btw. i hope my previous post about the original subject didn't get lost in this disussion...

I agree your sNPCedit is nice for the details and the triggers inside the npcgen.data
But on my computer, dunno why but when I scroll the list, it become slow and laggy.
And the interface is rough and hard to use. I mean, I often need to copy and past the same data in fields and it's become harder and repetitive after few time... Especially for the coords...
NPCGen Edit 1.5 is more smooth for this and don't need often "copy'n past" cuz it copy ingame coords in real time so that make easier the thing.
I hope your understand me...
But anyways, all your tools are realy nice even if their interface is old-stylish because they have more accuracy and have more details to edit the files.
I just use sNPCedit.
I login, go to the place where i want the NPC to be spawned, type in d_showpos and write all the data into it. So i can be 100% sure its at the right position and not in a wall or something.
I got no issue like that.
And btw, the d_showpos, write the coords and those thing is very repetitive and the sNPCedit interface is rough also...
So like hrace, I use both of them.
see 2 ppl have same opinion with me, I am here not to compare betwen sNPCEdit with NPCGEN, but only give input for ronny to make sNPCEdit become more flexible, please don't miss understodwonder if i have brain like ronny, may be i can't help to make this tools more better
