    How to use WinSCP

    First i want to say sorry about this topic.
    I'm using Hrace009's vbox server and i did some change to my element.data file in client
    and i read we can use WinSCP edit those files from server side. But i still don't have any idea about this
    I want to know how should i use WinSCP to Edit my server's element.data, gshop.data and server's drop Exp rate
    And i dont even know how to log in server using WiSCP

    first of all winscp is so that u can copy files from your windows to ubuntu and other way around(it doesnt edit it self any files)
    in the host name put the ip of ubuntu :u can get the ip by typing ifconfig in the ubuntu
    username and pass the ones u used
    rest leave it as it is by default and u should be able to login and u wills ee yourself

    i am getting network errors: connection errors. what i did wrong? i typed the right IP and root with password too.

    Make sure your sftp port is open on your server (either port 21 or 22, I forget.)

    you meant i open port on router? hmm i used to be able to connect without open any port before. i think it done with virtual PC not Vbox lol. i will try it now.

    EDIT same result, if on the server how do i open port on VBOX? lol

    Alright try this, go to your vbox and into the console type:
    Code:
    ufw allow 22
    and
    Code:
    apt-get install openssh-server
    And then try connect with winSCP.

    Also can you get to the pwAdmin page, SERVERIP:8080/pwAdmin?
    If you can't it's probably a problem that you have your IP address wrong....

    all i did was this

    apt-get install openssh-client
    apt-get install openssh-server

    does everything for me.

    username (root)
    password whatever you set it too for root

    and login with your ip....

    will ask you for update of key hit yes.

    and your done.
