Interesting - Read Please (doubt/discussion)

If I can paint my clothes/some of then
there is a way to make the person
>> painting the own ARMOR<< ?????
like.. you buy a dye and go to a npc X
take your helmet GOLD and use a dye BLACK in it
so you get a helmet black ( oooohhhh LOlL) xD
--
so if this is possible..
how / where i have to edit..
??
if anybody know.. we can help each other
will be very cooll a server that you painting ur armor
the color you like =D
- thanks in advance

First the helmet does not even appear, it is "invisible" equipped.
And the structure of equipment is quite different, it would be an arduous job of creating it from the beginning .Ski,.ecm and Similar, is not something simple editing.
But good try.

This could work but you need to think outside-the-box.

Yes you can! Make fashion armors XD
Otherwise, it's not possible to do with PW...

There is a way to create the illusion using the armors skin and models as a fashion piece, but they will appear on the fashion part of your inventory, not as real armor. (I think this is also what Romulan was referring to.)
There is a thread somewhere that I read about it... do some searching and see if it's on here somewhere :) Otherwise, Kristkos is the person to ask in my opinion (when he's around anyways), as he's the master of models

Using armor as fashion would be the best way but then you need too sets.
Im not sure if this is possible but what you could do is...
1) duplicate a piece of armor
2) make a copy of the dds texture file
3) recolor it the copy
4) link the duplicate item to the recolored dds
5) have an npc where you trade your current armor for duplicate armor in your choice of color.
This would require a lot of new entries in the elements though so it would be best to only use this method for a few of the most popular sets of armor.

Re: Interesting - Read Please (doubt/discussion)
already thought about dyeing the armor but it's rather tricky(can't do it) :)) there is a tutorial elsewhere on how to make ur armor fashion and vice-versa but u won't be able to add stats to it (might forward it here eventually but on the last day that i'll have acces to pc i'll do that) :P
recoloring by default(texture recoloring) is posible so are models and such (look around for .dds/.ski editing)
but without any editors (.data ) knowlege it's hard(even if ur a pro with photoshop or whatever)

Re: Interesting - Read Please (doubt/discussion)
well then is hard work
I guess now
I will not try that .. I'm out of time to work on it xD
but it seems easier to make a fashion item
with the appearance of armor to be a "fake armor" able to paint..
then u will painting the fashion
so someone can tell me the files that I need to create the "fake armor"?
the dds and models files are all? or i have to pick textures or another files/things...
- thanks in advance and thanks for answer guys
- and sorry bad english =D

Re: Interesting - Read Please (doubt/discussion)
easy then in elements.data(or how'd u named it)
add a new fashion with a existing armour(arms for arms ,legs for legs...etc u get the picture)[Note: u should duplicate the armour and rename it] locate the armour paint it a white grey colour

(RGB format should be = 177 177 177 ) trough saturation or i'll up a pic to that color(don't replace just tint everything) also u should try removing the Alpha layer and that's about it u got ur new fake-fash/armor
