    Have you tried downloading the latest java? Or make sure you have it in your colinux working.

    Re: iweb........

    Your bash profile is not set right..

    in the root dir there is a hidden file called .profile that has to be edited..

    this is my profile..

    Code:
    # .bash_profile

    # Get the aliases and functions
    if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
            . ~/.bashrc
    fi

    # User specific environment and startup programs

    PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12/bin
    BASH_ENV=$HOME/.bashrc
    USERNAME="root"

    PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:/usr/lib/mysql/bin
    BASH_ENV=$HOME/.bashrc
    USERNAME="ROOT"

    export USERNAME BASH_ENV PATH
    export CLASSPATH=.:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12/lib/dt.jar:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12/lib/tools.jar:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12/lib/mysql-connector-java-3.0.16-ga-bin.jar:/usr/java/msSQLjdbc/lib/msbase.jar:/usr/java/msSQLjdbc/lib/mssqlserver.jar:/usr/java/msSQLjdbc/lib/msutil.jar
    export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12
    good luck

    iweb is a pain, I cant get the damn certs to work but have managed to get jakarta and lammp to coexist after many many hours of trying, im setting up a vmware image of a server (all maps running ) so u gonna need a beefy comp to run it (mine has 8GB ) just gonna need somewheres to up it (1.7GB ) so u can take what u need off it as it should be working, it has SSH so u can use putty and WinSCP etc.. :)

    Re: iweb........

    you gotta remember, its not just the jakarta folder, its iweb.conf gm.conf etc.. in /etc/ as well as java profiles n stuff

    if i just give you my jakarta folder you will probably have the same error also, if I give the rest of the community (including the leechers ) a near fully working server (iweb being the problem) we could all work together in getting this problem solved

    in another thread you have my .profile file just copy that
    im gonna zip my jakarta folder and include the /etc/ files in it

    Re: iweb........

    O.O big thx...

    Yes i'm using the lastest version of java ^^ but.. i must using JDK (for developer) or JRE (runtime environement) ?

    And for your bash profile... i saw a line with ( /lib/mysql ) something like this... but i don't have this T.T i'm using xampp1.7 (more easier to configure than the great and powerful apache2 *o*)

    For chmod... i do this every time when i modify a file xD (no no, i'm not compulsive >_>)

    I manage my Ubuntu Server with PuTTY (very good ssh client) and FileZilla Client (because it's support the sftp protocol :D ) and for manage mysql database... Firefox>http://myserverip (because i have a little index.html with all links i need to manage my server ^^ ...register, server stats, phpmyadmin,...).

    uh... how many hours it will take for compress your jakarta ? ^^

    /BAN Jakarta 9999999999999
    reason :
    Code:
    : not foundjakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/bin/startup.sh: 7:
    : not foundjakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/bin/startup.sh: 10:
    /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/bin/startup.sh: 13: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting "in")

    I like Beastie (VMware Image) files. Working fine to me.
    I extract all and put in Ubuntu Server 9.04 with Sun VirtualBox.
    I using SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9 + WinSPC for edit files.

    Don't you just hate when yo read to the end of a thread to find what you really really need and then all you get is "Thanks.. I fixed it" Damn that is aggrovating.
    (off the soap box)

    Hey Romulan, can you shed some light on how you get this running. In detail if possible.
    I am running Beastie's image as well and I have had no luck as yet getting Iweb to work.

    so anyways, im having this horrible problem... whenever i start it up it says
    Neither the JAVA_HOME nor the JRE_HOME environment variable is defined
    atleast one of the environment variable is needed to run this program
    yea yea, i know you think i dont have the java...
    turns out i actually do
    jdk1.6.0_12 is the name of it
    all my ip's are set...
    i changed:
    iweb.conf
    gmopgen.xml
    and even

    Re: iweb........

    you must configure the .profile and .bashrc of your root session

    and

    jdk6 don't work with jakarta because jakarta using old .class files You need the old jdk5 that you can found in any release on this forum....
