    JD Maps

I'm trying to add a Jade Dynasty map to my server, and the server doesn't crash or anything but when I put the map online, it stays there for a few seconds and then goes offline. I've tried putting an empty npcgen.data in there but it's still doing the same thing. Can anyone tell me how to add them properly? Thanks.

Copy the config and maps straight from the jd server release from the jd dev section

Then just add the map to instance.txt in configs.pck with the right world id and map path etc along with the actual map data from the jd client, but you also need the loddata building and litmodels for it along with the surfaces for the ingame map pictures

Its not that hard after you figure it all out

i thought of trying to put some jd maps into pw, since there just about the same at the basic level, litmodels, loddata it should work.

You have to remember the client difference as well so ensure before adding the map that you have made your client capable of loading the map.

    Re: JD Maps

I am new to all this and i know most of every thing is covered. Once I learn enough of what im doing I hope to beable to give back where I can.
I know this thread hasnt been active for a bit now but I have been looking over the forums and cant realy find a basic guide any where for add maps into PW from JD or even cloneing extisting maps in PW
so rather then starting up a new thread and so on I thought I would ask here 1st

Any one have a basic rule of thumb to adding or clone a map?
a guide would be grate but I'll take basic rules as a starting spot

If you analyze my release enough, you will figure out at least how to 'clone' a map -- as -- in my release there are a few 'cloned' maps ;)

I will also be making PW files from Jade Dynasty. Since I'm messing around in the type of project atm.
I will be messing/ uploading the following.
    Fashions
    Gears
    mounts/items
    maps
    And classes.

Once I have figured all of this out it will basically benefit both server sections.
I am not saying it will be successful nor am I telling y'all to be prepared for it As you know anything can happen when coding.

xD I have been experimenting with adding in weapons and mounts from JD into PW as well. Got almost every single mount fixed already working on fixing their original gfx glows thou :)
It would be interesting seeing the fashion brought over, thou they are different models and havent tested exactly how they would fit onto PW models :/
