Linux ? Vbox ? VMWare ?

Personally I have a doubt, the right thing to do on a PW server is to use the same VBOX or VMware? I do not understand much when they say that a PW server must be run on Linux, it means that must be run on an emulator as vbox or wheel of a "real-linux?" : X

I can also answer whether the server hrace009's good to let the public? The server hrace009 is better than 1.3.6?

run on a real linux server for public - on a virtual linux machne for testing / etc.pp --- all server are v1.3.6

If you are starting out, I suggest getting the vbox version, test it out, feel and learn how stuff works. If you have the money and experience, go get a linux box.

VBOX is also a good development/test server, it's a good practice to apply the changes first in a development/test environment before implementing to a live production server.
