    cool Litmodels Rotation Question.

    Hey guys.

A friend and me have been trying around for days now, and we am getting to nothing. We need to be able to read out rotation of the .BMD data files in litmodels.pck. We know where the rotation is saved, but We have no clue what notation it is saved as.

    For example :

    http://www.crytools.org/Models/illu.png

The floats are read in 4 byte (duuh) notation from .BMD file. I am certain we read them out correctly, and I am certain they are the right values, since the rotation of the item changes ingame when I change it. Though, I have absolutly no clue what type of calculation is done there. I thought it was a rad degree, but thats wrong. I tried Sinus, cosinus, tangens, Arctan and arcsin. Maybe I am just to stupid, but I got no results whatsoever.

So my question is : Anyone know how to convert the Rotation data to a usable angle (deg or rad) ?

    Cheers.

What tool do you use? Never seen it before...

And for your data, try to take example on NPCGenEdit or an existing tool that use that already...

    Re: Litmodels Rotation Question.

    Tool is custom.
I will try to use the program you mentioned, ill report back here once I did. Thanks.

    EDIT :

I cannot import .BMD with the tool you mentioned. Seems to be a character/other data importer. What I need is a way to read rotation out of the static objects.

    Re: Litmodels Rotation Question.

well what he mean is npcs having rotation 1 and 2 too.
For NPCs its mostly (xyz) o o o or -0.5 0 0 or 0.5 0 0 or 0 0 0.5 etc etc mostly the y isnt changing. so numbers for north east west south are mostly -0.5 0.5 0 and -1.0 for south
