    Little Help Please

    hey.

i have a true linux ubuntu 8.10 server
i have all the files on the server itself.
but its source's list is not like all the others i seen i cant update or use apt-get install the packages needed like mysql etc because the packages are not there because the sources list is yea shit.

i tried using the source's list from my ubuntu 9.10 server but ended up with troubles. could somebody please help me. im pretty much done i just need help with this. and then i have a server without using virtual box or vmware

if anyone can help i would really appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Re: Little Help Please

i'm sorry i cant read that.

I know i need to add more source's etc but i dont know which one's i need to add
my linux server os is ubuntu 8.04 LTS (64-bit)
i have all installed apart from the packages needed like apache2 mysql etc.

i know i need to update the sources.list but i dont want to add the wrong source's and get errors again after doing it like i did before which ended in me reinstalling the os lol.

like i used my 9.10 source list and i updated fine etc etc but it changed alot of things that ended badly for me lol..

i just like need a correct source link
that will update my package lists so i can install what i need to finsh everything off.
