MyEN wont caught up to PWI because there's no such thing. PWI licensed it and took it in their own direction however MyEN is also doing its own updating. Isn't very close to 1.3.6 however server files are never dead on anyway.Originally Posted by Noaru

I meant like, the items are not the same. I also meant directions as being that one is not following the other. They are the same but in that aspect they are slightly independent. And I mention taht because even if they were in the same "update" they wouldn't have the same stuff to relate to.
Ah I seee... So the server files for PW either way are basically up-to-date then? Also are these "actual" server files or emulator files? And are they Chinese, English, or Translated English?
The server files are real not an emulator, but they are not up to date. Some people might tell you they have up to date server files,but they dont.... That would be a client version 1.3.6 on drugs. Added items from l8r versions. 1.4.?? some where in that range is l8est versions.
Examining the files for versions client 1.4.++ I've noticed that the way a few things work have changed. not just the files. Things like XML code must have changed I'm sure cuz there are new files added like gshop1.data right beside gshop.data that is not in other versions b 4 them. I'm no pro for sure but I dont think any wonderful modding will every get you past 1.3.9 version,but the new server files will be needed.
I take it you have never edited a client properly?
Have You opened that file? it is a GShop the devs forgot to move on an update they done, simple as that, people make errors dont assume they know it all theyre only human.
One thing about new content before its released is that they bug the content for people like ourselves to not just get the content that easy and show people with it 100% fixed, eg gfx, versions, base structures you have to manually open up what controls it and edit it via what will make this function work.

Okay so it looks pretty bad for this "scene"... Would it be "easier" to reverse engineer the files, and then use packet capturing to fill in the missing blanks of the newer parts of the server? Essentially building a hybrid type emulator?
by that time perfect world will be long gone lol
theres a emulator in developement.
just crack the element.exe to work with your gs and you have the new stuf to

they did a litle change in server side (sorry for double post)
that is really a small advantage since all 1.4.1 GFXs can be lowered down to 1.3.6
and you can take bits out of the elements.data also.
cracking the exe is not only harder than it sounds but not a huge advantage.
it wont give u new skills or new classes, just annoying useless menus.
