Re: mount to fly and fly to mount
It may be possible... like the bulbfish mount kind of looks like an air mount already and same for tidal serpent
I think it might only be the bon and ecm though as there really isn't much else to it

Re: mount to fly and fly to mount
Flights dont have a set position in the bon for the chracter like mounts. The character goes into animation and the flight is spawned in the perfect position ontop of the character (hence why in ZX the player is different and so the flights are lined up wrong), and animates seperatly to the player, but usualy lines up just right.
Going Flight to mount could be possible but would lack alot of things like proper running animation and might sink into the floor. If you could load the ski into blender and move it all into the perfect position, then you could make a mount a flight, but you would loose all animation in the editing process without tedius manual hex editing of the .bon and .stck files, to change every single coordinate a few spaces up/down and left/right.
This is not the case for wings however (hence why the flights folder is divided into wings and swords/beasts). I'v never really looked into how wings snap to characters.
Iv turned a mob into a mount before and tried to turn a mob into a flight, and its very different. Not impossible tho.

Re: mount to fly and fly to mount
i'm still gonna go deep into this :P
like i sayd ... It has been done already
since kuqoi's red dragon thingy was made for flying(dosen't work only by editing the ecm in el.data) and saw another as well on other sites wich could do the same
and like always can't get much only by translating with google

Re: mount to fly and fly to mount
the dragon is a big object to use, you will proberly find it lines up pretty well without editing.
All that needs changing after that is the animation names, i think.
