(MSSQL vs MYSQL) problems of database..

Hello guys,
I have installed PWserver1.3.6 on Ubuntu Server 8.04 (physical machine.. NOT shity virtual machine ^-^).
My server's files are "rzpw.7z" from sticky page.
I use XAMPP 1.7 (for web server and database..).

But i'm surprise for somethings... there is one file for MySQL "dbo.sql" and two files for MSSQL.. (mssql_storeprocedure.sql, mssql_table.sql). And I think the script of "table.xml" from "rzpw.7z" is not appropriate for MySQL but good for MSSQL.

So.. can I have a sample code of "table.xml" for use with MySQL... and I want to know is there a sql script same as "mssql_storeprocedure.sql" for MySQL of course.

I don't like microsoft and others software from them... And I don't know why we MUST use MSSQL for a gameserver run on Linux >.>

Please I very need help for this.. it's make me crazy X_X

PS: My *.conf files are fully corrects and hosts file too ! The error is not from them...

tried this for a month straight dunno man .... i don't think it works ... i tried all sorts of combos ... suse unbuntu fedora over and over and over fixed hundreds of problems and nothing worked and ********** disappeared this was my first time i have failed at getting a server to run .... but i learned alot about linux thats for sure ^^ ... gl on getting it to work

I can play on MY PERSONAL SERVER !!!

But it still a another problem for me ^^" ...
How can i have the Ultimate GodMaster Power ? lol ... "GM" ^^ (In MySQL of course...)
And adding cubi with MySQL ? Because i found only for MSSQL =/ or the "iWeb Of The Death"... (I don't like so much iWeb because... it's in a language understable for me ^^" , asian languages are so hard to read.. xD).

I'm already very pleased to play with very very high lvl xD but...
I want to be a GM in my server for complete my perfect dream

(EDIT): I have found how to have the GM Logo next to my name and some commands... ^^ (with the auth table in my phpmyadmin...).
But i have very limited GM Commands x( ... How can i have full access for them ? ^^
And the problems of adding cubi again... =/ i don't have found anything can add cubi for my account in phpmyadmin...

Use the batgm program I posted in another thread, that will enable/disable GM powers for users as well as give coins

To access the GM console in game press <CTRL>+<G>

For the (CTRL + G) I already know this command and I know the debug command too ^^ (CTRL + J)...

But can you give me a working and correct link to download BATGM ? Please.. Because "w w w . m m o r p g - dev . com" Is very bad forum... (Can't open the page.. Have a very restricted access on many thread...).

A good download link ! Like filefront or others. ^^ Not rapideshare... the time to wait for a download is often very bigger than small file what i want to download x) (wait 1hour for download a very small file of 10Mb~ x_X example...).

Please Note..
you have to allow the machine running BATGM privileges to access/edit the mysql database or it wont work this can be done with phpmyadmin on the lampp server http://YOURIP/phpmyadmin

Ehm... What I must do in phpmyadmin for the batgm can access on the database ?

I don't want to do something wrong and after i will must configure all the database again.. ^^'

I think, i have need put some parameters in the Mysql link on the main page in phpmyadmin.. but i don't be sure. ^-^

I feel my perfect dream it's nearly become real...
(GM Power on my private server made by hands *.*).

After that, if all thing run correctly in few days.. I will post a topic "How setup pwserver on Linux with Mysql" with a lot of detail and hint for newbie want to setup their pwserver .

(EDIT): BATGM is for Add cubi-gold only... it's cool but my big problem is i can't have the full access to GM Commands =/
When i want to create a monster (example) the game say me : Illegal authority. =( But i can access to GM Console and i have the small red logo "GM" ... =/

Help me please i'm lost =(

ok, in phpmyadmin (after you have logged in as root) select your database (dbo) then select the privileges tab, once you have done that select "open new phpmyadmin window"
once that opens you should see the user overview page
1. select add user
2. add the following..
USER = root
HOST = IP of the comp that has BATGM on it
PASSWORD = Your Password
Retype Password = Your Password
Ignore Generate Password
3. now select for Database for user Grant all privileges on wildcard name (username\_%)
4. click go
5. now refresh the privileges tab and you should see the user root for ur IP
6. now select edit user (the one you just created)
7. select check all
8. hit go

that will give you access to the MySql database from BATGM.

ok, as for the problem you're having with the authority with the GM commands, i can only guess (as i've never had this problem) there is a problem with the GMServer.conf file in /etc/ and/or in /gamed/
