ok so I took the npcgen.data file, converted it to tab-separated values, then imported it into excel. I then took all the Chinese, copied the column into Google translate and voila! I've got a translation of them all.
It's easier to read in Excel, so I'm adding the file as an attachment.
Lol... Still wonder why they put triggers for other maps into the npcgen of world map...
Oh, and just to correct Rom. IF you are using my release the 'hard cap' is NOT 150 ~~ it is 119... There IS a way to easily change this, but I admit I DO NOT support it as too many people want even above 150 and I am SICK and TIRED of seeing people ask for "How do I get max level above 150", and personally I think even 150 is overkill since even the 'official game' in its current 'state' lacks the endgame content necessary for even level 105!

Yes, setting the level cap was extremely easy.
I'm still having issues with skills that are unable to be learned.not sure why this is. IIRC, we can't use the 79 skills, but I'm having some issues learning skills that are lvl 92 in normal PW. (not sure what they are in ours because I can't find a reference to it.)
lastly, where is the character database at? I had some ideas about edits but can't find anything other than very basic information using MySQL.
Well you wont find anything except account info in MySQL, all the actual game data is stored in a proprietary Berkley DB in /PWServer/gamedbd/dbhomewdb/dbdataQuote:

well poop. there goes my idea for pet edits. I'll have to try another avenue. For now I'll just overpopulate Room 4 with tombstones for faster pet leveling.
Speaking of pet edits. I swear I saw a photo on there somewhere of someone with Rend Razorjaw as a pet. How is this possible? I'd love to take some bosses, or other mobs and either make them tame-able, or add them to the boutique. (taming mobs, bosses in the boutique)

Its probably was the mother of the pack and not rend razorjaw. However it is possible to make any mob a pet. Don't use all class pets though as they have no attack animations.Quote:

ok I would love to know how you did that. I'm looking in elements.data right now with sELedit, not dunno if I'm in the right place, or just not knowing enough about what this huge stream of values is in the window.

It is a barb with an attack pet. I figure out to hex a pet egg ages ago to change the class requirements.

In terms of how to make the pet.
Step 1
Clone a pet and give it a new ID. In this case I cloned the overclocked mechacrab.

Step 2
Change the model to the model of the monster. This can be taken from the monster list in elements. The surfaces is the icon for the pet. You probably have to create an icon or use an existing one for it. Change the class to what ever class you want to be able to use the pet egg. 255 is all class. Change whatever other stats you desire.
Step 3
Clone a pet egg. In this case I cloned the overclocked mechacrab pet egg.

Step 4
Give the egg a new ID and name. Change the field for the pet to the ID of the pet created earlier. You do not need to change the models or surfaces here. It is the model of the egg when dropped and its inventory icon.
Step 5
Find the monster you want as a pet in the monster list and change the "tamable pet" field to the ID of the pet egg you just created.

For lolz or whatever reason use hexgen in pwAdmin add veno skills such and Heal Pet, Tame Pet, and Revive Pet.
Thats it. There is probably more you can do but thats basically what I did.

Do you still have your backup of your uniquenamed folder? Then use it... Maybe it will fix it... And screw those idiots saying that the uniquenamed folder is not necessary...
When you backup your database, you must always:
1. Dump your mysql pw database
2. Archive the gamedbd and uniquenamed folder
grr that didn't fix it.
How do I dump m mysql database?
is it possible to edit the database manually?
would the dbrebuild.sh script work?

It seems like I had a tool to view the mysql database, but once there I have no clue what to do and i can't recall what the tool was atm >.< everyone is going to kill me again.
Edit: Ahh found Navicat. now trying to see if I can actually do anything that might fix it.
