MYSQL DB Config Files - Where to change them?

Today, my server was hacked. I dunno what type it was, but they just deleted the mysql db so maybe some sql injection?

Basically, I had a backup from 11/17/2011. I was not happy. I restored that. When I thought of this, I remembered some of my old devs knew the password still. I tried in the past to change the mysql password, I changed it alright, but then I could not change all the config files.

Do you know what files I need to change the mysql db password in?

    Thanks,

    M a g i c

    table.xml in PWServer/authd
    .config.inc.php in opt/lampp
    config.php in opt/lampp/htdocs
patcher.conf in opt/cpw/config (if you use cpw)
PWadmin and any other scripts you might be using (registration, rank, change pass)
I think that's all of them if I remember right.

You gave them the root password...?

Why in the world would you do that...

More passwords must have been changed before starting server include: root password of ubuntu (i use ubuntu), of pwAdmin, of iweb, of phpmyadmin. If u change pass of phpmyadmin, u need reconfig the connection in etc/table.xml file.

Install webmin, it will let you do everything easily.

    Also invest in a firewall.

    Rookie mistake >_>

I meant game passwords btw, it was weird. I changed the table.xml which is the only game file with it in, right? Well, it kept saying Server Network Error. I dunno what exactly happened.
