    NPC Selling Problem

Check attachments for the three pictures.(:
When I click on the NPC I have spawned, it does nothing but let me select it. My objective was to have it sell the item ID's I had selected. Which are custom items, but thats not the case I wouldn't think lol.

    What's a fix?

Anyone tell what I did wrong from the SS's?

    Need SS's of anything else?

(Idk if the npc I had there should have been ground or free3d in the npcgen.data, but it is ground) **Should it be free3d?**

    Can't get this to work!

If you spawn any Npc they wont let you do anything, No Quest, No Trade, No Skills, nothing. If you do it in npcgen.data then it is a Ground Npc, free3d is a Mob *that moves around*

Look through ragezone for the Correct Guide I can't remember where it is lol ><

    It was spawned through npcgen.data.
Also I have, I've like 99% sure I've done everything right.

I have 0% clue what is wrong.

So what you do? You press it and nothing happens? Absolute Nada ?

Yeah, server side elements.data and client are the same or the server wouldn't work right.

And yes, when I double click it, absolute nada.
I mean, look at the SS. Nothing I know of is wrong. It's a new NPC, thats why the ID is so high. (Custom NPC)
Anyways...I think I'll take a store already in game, copy it and try to add the items in there and see what happens, but with the same ID's. But then all the info SHOULD be correct.

    Got skype/etc?
I'm interested in finding out why this isn't working.

If anyone wants to look into it, add me Kuruptgaming x or ||KG|| on skype.

Yeah I have Skype Sir. Also I might have you already?!?!
Here is my Skype name anyway just in case> eddy.t4317

Also if you copy a Trade Shop from another Npc make sure you don't change the Actual Npc as this will bug it all out and the Npc might vanish...

Well...I changed it around..STILL cannot double click it and talk to it. Nothing whatsoever appears except its name at the top.
    What am I missing?!?

No, no, no, no. Ground means the npc (or mob) is bound to the litmodels ground, free3d means it isn't and is particularly useful for npcs that need to be in a certain spot (like the towers in arch or the platform in the center) but it technically isn't the ground

You probably have an id that is overlapping somewhere or the npcgen behavior is a mob (I've done that too without noticing it)

    Re: NPC Selling Problem

In the npcgen.data, you MUST check if the row is set to NPC... this configuration is just after the coordinates/facing of the mob/npc.

Ground allows you tu put an NPC only in the grass or free terrain. Free 3D, you can put the npc in the sky if you want.

I suggest that you always use free 3D, because if you spawn it in the npcgen.data in a elevated place of PW, it will be stuck on the ground.

    Elevated places?

    - Yeah, like ADC's roads, and furnaces area.

IDs bigger than 30000 IN ITEMS/MATERIALS always bug. YOU MUST NOT USE A VERY BIG ID.

And, be sure that both client and server elements.data are the same.

Maybe for you, but I have a lot of items (and mobs/npcs/recipes/you name it) with id's well above 50,000 (or higher) due to my numbering system and have no issues with it...

Yeah, really. If I use very big ID's in armors or weapons, it becomes invisible, and some times the character too. o.O

And Gshop don't accept those ID's, I can't buy anything with that ID.

    DAMN

Huh? Large ID's work perfectly for me.
I fixed it, I practically copied the Maradona NPC, then deleted everything GM from it. Then linked it to my store: 50001.
Then changed the model of it to a furnace, then simply spawned maradona in the middle of the city.
    I win!

sounds to me like you have it set to 'mob'

...just make sure you have it set to 'NPC' in NPCGEN ;)

Actually that's not the case at all, it really is set to NPC.

    So, do the following:

Clone a blacksmith/tailor, clone its buying list, change the IDs, the content of the list, and its name. (elements.data)

Then, spawn it in the correct coordinates, and set to NPC.(npcgen.data)

Old topic man, thanks though. Check my other one somewhere on forums about armor.
