Já tive esse problema com meu servidor uma vez e lembro que só resolvi quando mudei de datacenter. As máquinas do fdp que alugava não eram dedicadas, eram VPS e o fdp (Total Premium)me vendeu como dedicado. Verifica o hardware.

Sinceramente, não sei. O que sei é que já tive exatamente esse problema. O servidor rodava de boa, sem bronca nem lag, de repente caia por excesso de uso de memória. Contactei até engenheiro em análise de sistemas que me disse que o problema era no uso de processador. Achei estranho porque já havia rodado servidor até em máquina com configuração menor que aquela e deixei o tempo da máquina expirar. Para minha surpresa, o dono da empresa me procurou desesperadamente para efetuar meu pagamento. Depois de horas de discussão ele deixou escapar que tinham outros 3 clientes dependendo do meu pagamento para continuarem usando o serviço. oO' Tempos depois descobri que seus dedicados eram compartilhados. '-'

Só resolvi meu problema quando aluguei diretamente com empresas gringas que me davam acesso total a máquina e não a um IP com user e senha.

Could be the problem be in the Ubuntu 32 bit with 8GB of ram?
And did the tests, it really is a dedicated, not VPS.

Já rodei em Suse com 4gb, em Ubuntu com 8gb e em Debian com 8gb, sempre com sistema 32bits. Pede pra formatarem seu pc.
