Perfect World Guide for Debian

Hi People,

Here is ur Guide for a PW Server.

Its based on my Server (www.perfectworld-uwcrew.eu)

1. What do i need?

- Root Server with Debian 4 Etch

- Hardware - 4-6GB Ram - 500GB HDD - 2x2,4 GhZ (all for a great gaming)

- Root Server with Windows Server Edition 2003

- Serverfiles:

2. What do i need to do?

2.1 Install MSSQL on Windows Root

- Install MSSQL and save ur Password
- Install MSSQL SP4 - Dont forget to type ur Password
- Install the DBO Dumps

2.2 How to install the DBO Files?

- Make a new Database named "dbo"
- Open SQL Query Analyzer
- Open dbo Dumps
- Press STRG+F5
- Press F5
- go to Security (left site)
- Go to User SA
- Give him Database "dbo"
- MSSQL Finish

2.3 How to install Server Files

- Copy all files into Debian.....
- Edit IP from /home/glinkd/gamesys.conf
- Change the IPs to ur Debian IP from Port 29000 (i think it was 4 Times)
- Copy the Java Thing in Folder /usr/java
- Copy the Webmin Thing in /home Folder
- Configure the /home/start_servers.sh script like which Dungeon u need and which not.
- Configure /etc/table.xml
- Configute /etc/hosts

2.4 Install Webmin

- Type "tar xzvf webmin.tar.gz"
- Type "cd Webmin-[TAB]"
- Type "./setup.sh"
- Use Port 8080
- To enter it type: "URIP:8080"

2.5 Give Permission

- Type "chmod 777 -R /home"
- Type "chmod 777 -R /usr/java"

2.6 Add Libfiles

- Add Libfiles to Debian in "/lib"
- Type "chmod 777 -R /lib"

2.7 Install Registration Page

- Type "cd /var/www"
- Make a new Folder named "Regscript"
- Put the Registration Files in it.
- Configure the "Config.php"
- Dont forget the PHP Support for Debian. (Dunno the command yet - apt-get ............)

2.8 Start Server

- Type: "/home/start_servers.sh
- Hope that all work
- Go in ur Client
- /perfectworld/elements/userdata/server/serverlist
- change to ur IP

1. VMware has Playercap of 54 Player.
2. I will make a Guide for 1 Root Server without MSSQL. I will use mysql (i use it too ^^)
3. U need client MYEN Patch 12-13 Version ^^

Try to write a guide for Fedora and MySQL. It'll be the best thing.

what OS really do i need to install to run this server i still don't figure out i use colinux but i gust I am having problem maybe because I'm using a router?

if only there is a image step by step it will help all to figure out how really to set up a server so to lessen the question in forum hope some can made for it thanks :)

all I want is to make a server and play alone so i need a set up not for public to everyone thanks :)
